I do not understand why people hav sheet metal covering half the engine compartment. When I open the hood, I don’t want to see another hood. I don’t want disassemble the pretty cover to work on the engine. I want to see the F’ing engine. The hood is the pretty cover.

Tastefully done. Even down to a square Pete hood emblem , which is 99.9 percent sure is a repop. Originals pricey if you can find one for sale. That is very nice truck.
I drove a last year produced 1972 small window cab with the big hood as late as 1988-9. Cal/Nev/Oreg tanker work. BC 400 Cummins wth reworked 13 speed. Loved that old truck.

.Im gonna pull the side emblems off my 379 and do one of the square emblems in black on the front. My fenders and tanks are gonna get painted black and then polish everything else.

In terms of vehicle style, that thing was a throwback when it was new.
The vertical grille, barn-shaped hood, seperate fenders and headlights...it looks like everything did in the 30s!
I like it, it's just funny to see something from when I was a kid that's so clearly from a couple generations previous.
