I have the same lathe. It originally was mounted in the back of a military truck. That's why the cabinet is angled. You will see a bomb stamp in the serial number. Mine has a really nice chuck and it works really well. They have a decent thru hole for a 10" lathe.
 
Nice find with all the little gears! It's got the taper attachment as well.

Yeah, I never really used a taper attachment before. Am I supposed to somehow undo the lead nut from the cross slide, so the cross slide is following the taper attachment?
