Oregon fires

I heard Detroit is a total loss :frown: Anyone know if it's true?

Idk, on the NWCC map all of Detroit is in the red zone. My grandpa's house was also on the edge of it towards Lyons and it's a pile of rubble now. I can't imagine Detroit rebuilding, seems like they've been struggling for a while now. Gonna be weird if it's just a ghost town from now on

My boss just bought a cabin on Santiam road in Detroit. He tore it down to build new and just installed a septic system. I vac excavated all the footings but no building yet...he's a lucky man but maybe not so much if the town is gone.

 is right, I hope some of the other towns fared better. Feels like it's going to be a rough recovery for the area.

I heard there were arson arrests near medford and Eugene ? I wouldn’t doubt anteetha, but see nothing in the news.

Just saw my boss's property on video. The porta potty still standing and the 2 houses on either side are in good shape

That whole area is nice, can't we just contain the OR fires to inside the Eugene, Salem and Portland city limits so the state can finally be free?

Wranglerstar channel on youtube is up near the front line protecting a few houses on the mountain and doing occasional updates.

Don't think I'm too far off with my antifa statement.. reports of people throwing mortars on roofs and back yards and a lady got confronted in her front yard apparently. Looting is going on in evacuated homes also. WTF! :mad3:

All these are in the same area and close to my uncles place where he set up "refugee lane"
A bunch of our evacuated friends are in his 5 acre field and I guarantee they are all heavily armed

this is crazy, was hard to believe but looks like they caught at least one guy in Washington. these shitbags need to be got. my shop burnt down few years ago, accidental, and i'm not an emotional person, but losing my safe place, home, my shop is my church. i felt like i was going to explode, i was so mad

i cant imagine having to evacuate your home, your castle, and to listen to reports like these. id feel like my back was against a wall, i dont know what i'd do

hoping the best for you and yours

I would appreciate some input from those of you anywhere around Medford. I bought a side by side from a dealer in Medford last week, and need to go pick it up. I am in North Idaho, had planned on running down 62 into Medford. It looks like 62 is closed, but I5 is open.
Opinions on making the trip tomorrow?
Opinions on routes?
Should I stay home and give them some time?

Portland is covered in smoke(im assuming by i5 you mean coming down 84 then hitting i5). Going to be slow traveling. The fires are getting worse it seems

My phone keeps going off for evacuations in Canby. I also got one for Sandy. There was a guy near my work who started a fire yesterday. Luckily one of our drivers saw him and stopped and yelled at him to put it out. He then called the police. The fire was out before the fire department arrived. This was on NE 13th ave in Portland. The road with Fedex, Oak harbor Freight and RL.

That's less than a 1/2 mile from my house. Any fire that ended up in the wooded area would be a serious threat to my home.

I talked to the driver today and it sounds like the guy was just a fucking idiot and not trying to be malicious. He helped put it out. Who knows? With all the bums in delta park I wouldn't be surprised if another fire is started off there.

I was driving across 84 and saw a homeless camp with a huge fire going about 33rd. 6-8' flames. It looked to be in a "fire pit" though. So I'm sure some of the crazy's don't see any reason not to have cook fire going right now.

Watched some idiot throw a cigarette butt out his window while sitting at the light on 122nd and marine this morning, I hopped out and through it back in his window. Fucktard.

Heard on the police scanner that 2 vehicles near Berry Hill Shopping Center were throwing molotov cocktails out the window. People sticking fake evac notices on houses.. WTF!
