Yes it would. This would be good shape for the fitting.
But I don't knon of any AN version of this.
Yes it would. This would be good shape for the fitting.
I tried that and a T fitting behaved betterThis should be good enough.
Should the main line be larger then the hb return in this case then?I tried that and a T fitting behaved better
Yes, big time.Should the main line be larger then the hb return in this case then?
YesSo for you guys that have dealt with issues when using a Tee in the return, What ill effects were you seeing?
Like, do the brakes start to apply?
Just put a T before the cooler.Because no I am wondering what I would gain by going forth and adding a second return nipple to the reservoir.
It's simply a hydraulic accumulator, though that one is way bigger than the ones on the truck and van hydroboosts I've seen.and it has this crazy cylinder on it, if i recall it is filled with nitrogen and will act as an emergency brake if the hydro boost lines fail. or something like that cant recall exactly.
awww ok, can it come off, or is that not recommended? It's simply a hydraulic accumulator, though that one is way bigger than the ones on the truck and van hydroboosts I've seen.
leave it aloneawww ok, can it come off, or is that not recommended?
Nois the port people drill out. i am not gonna do it at this time. just like to know is all
thats funny lolNo
That's the one port you don't want to touch, actually,
This picture a GM unit?is the port people drill out. i am not gonna do it at this time. just like to know is all
Mines all self built too, PSC high flow pump, to junkyard sourced booster, to scout II steering box, PSC ram, Cooler, PSC remote dual return res. Will post a pic or 3 of my aftermarket self built power steering hydroboost setup tonight.
Ive posted it before in the past just dont know where that was.
I used -6 aeroquip stainless teflon lines with stainless lines, yes all aircraft type hoses and fittings sourced from my younger years working at Lockheed and Boeing.
So I've never driven a hydro boost setup before so not sure how sensitive it should feel? Vac boost is predictible like manual brakes. All of my squares have always been one ton so didnt have to go far to have proper brake systems for those trucks but did upgrade the lines and some valves.
Its a high flow PSC like 2 years old not worn out one bit.Its all ive ever had in any truck so cant say how its different maybe just better performance.
But ya do have to pay more attention to the power steering pump, make extra sure its a good one and not warn out.
So since I already have the 1.25 I might as well swap that back and see if it feels any better. If it feels only slightly better I'll buy a 1.325 or 1.450.I think the only way to tune the pedal feel on hydroboost is to reduce pump output pressure (don't do this) or increase the master cylinder bore.
Hydroboost brakes do not have a lot of pedal feel but are capable of high line pressures.
