Old quads

Money for flipping ATVs is 4wd utility quads. Buy them for $1k or less. Do minor repairs and sell for $2k. Plenty of people have 2,500 or less to spend on a 4wd utility quad. Big market of buyers from hunters, ranchers, and just recreation. The sport quads are like sport bikes. I hate selling them. I have bought/fixed/sold 50+ ATVs over the last 15 years. Although I don’t do it anymore unless a deal falls into my lap. The sport ATVs were the hardest to sell.

I would never imply that any of you are wrong about the value of semi rare all terrain vehicles but I am pulling the engine to ship off to Arizona tomorrow for 4 times what I paid for the whole thing this morning :flipoff2:
ya, that is called parting out, not flipping

your post seemed like you were going to save that thing,
good job

Ditto on not flip quads right now.

I have an 96 bayou 300. Pretty much perfect condition. Still on original tires, so low miles even.

With winch, plow, title and registration listed for $2k. It has been for sale for months now. I get lots of messages but $1,500 is the highest offer I have ever gotten.

Snow plow season is coming I expect it to sell then. But that market has really crashed for now.
This IS a great time for cheap utility quads for deer season, however . People are always willing to overspend for something they don’t need to hunt 😂
Oops, I thought this thread was about me. Carry-on.
I laughed way too hard at this .

I have a 1998 bone stock Banshee stored in the back if the shipping container for the last 20 years:grinpimp:
Got it from some guy that was trying to use it as a woods bike in Minnesota purchased it for change because he couldn't figure out why it had no bottom end.....'something wring with it'

it is money in the bank

Dang, I almost want that, if it's the white and blue not the gray and yellow. Mine was sand only with uncut fenders and a lot of chrome and polished aluminum parts that was meticulously cleaned and waxed after every trip. The guy that bought it wanted it for his 6 acres he just bought. I can only imagine what it looks like now.

This guy probably would buy, although not for what you would want for it.

I also had the 94 pictured above at one point

I see them listed on vintage awesomeness atv/atc fb group every so often 250r's and banshee's are mostly listed tho.

OP there's a lot of 250x ,300x and 230 quadsports for around 2k in great condition a cleam mojave would bring the same
Yeah I'm on that page, they have some good stuff.

Trying to find an 86 tecate 3 on the west coast is like trying to find a needle in a haystack

I need an old quad with a snow plow for my driveway. Too bad you are too far away to make the economics work.

Depending on what they are selling for in your area sometimes shipping is the way to go there is a constant flow of bikes getting shipped around the US and also some heading overseas.

15-20 years ago I picked up a 250R for a few hundred bucks. It was a pin-the-throttle kinda dune machine, too twitchy for the woods, so I sold it for $700.

It looked just like this. :/

I can pick one up locally for what he wants for his set-up in Iowa.

someone should buy that for me and let me store it at their house for several years like various other items i`ve left at friends home`s around the country.

Klotz or Castor 927. Add that’s a solid deal I heavily regret selling my 87 ATC 250r about 10 years ago but it probably would have killed me if I had kept it much longer .

I've got an '05 Honda Rincon that just recently decided to start leaking fuel when it sits. Guess I'm gonna have to take the whole fuckin thing apart just to get to the carb. Might as well replace some plastics while I'm doing it, they're cheap enough.

I've beat this thing like a rented stepchild for almost two decades, might as well put a little work into it. It doesn't owe me a thing.
