Offroaders have there own words for things and it varies not only by region but by two different groups in the same place.
For instance I call it wheelin,my buddy calls it stumping. Probably because he grew up in the trees and I grew up in rocks.
He calls a backroll a roll polly and rock rash a Skidmark.

Stumping sounds dumb. Skidmarks are in your underwear FF.

Buddy from Louisiana would call wheeling 'riding'

Hucklebuck- situation where one or more stuck rigs is in a precarious situation and is likely going to get worse before it gets better.

Hemmed up- situation where one person gets hung up due to something stupid (including but not limited to issues caused by the driver).

These are the only ones that come to mind I'm sure Byro knows more. location northern Ohio.

Bump it: A technical term. To apply a strategic enough amount of throttle to propel your momentum up an obstacle and let off while the momentum makes you climb up said obstacle and the engine bogs down to allow the tires to gain traction and make everyone watching hate how easy you made it look.

Cheater tires: BFG Krawler Stickies.

Spotter: Person telling you which path you should take. Never listen to them. They aren't the one driving.

Turtle-ed: When you get stuck on both diffs or belly and sit there struggling like a turtle on it's back.

3rd gear! for when you're driving like a *** and need to hit it with your purse.

You said "turtled", I jumped to a rollover.

We also had a name for double low yotas blocking the trail but it slips my mind

Tard: Someone who brings a rig to an event and works on it there. Their tow rig will probably lack maintenance and have issues as well. Avoid these people. They cause 90% of the trail tampon issues.

Also see tard who has enough money to pay someone to build his rig, but not enough to pay for repairs or spends the time necessary to have a rig ready to wheel at a moments notice.

Yard sale is when you break something or roll and **** goes everywhere.
I also use this one to describe when I wreck the dirt bike hard enough to end up separated from it and have to to walk back over to it to pick it up :homer:

Driver Mod-
Term used to describe guys who seem to go all in on upgrades and equipment on their vehicles without bothering to learn how to ****ing drive. Huge crossover in the jeep wallet wheeler types. "All that thing needs is the Driver Mod"

Wheelstand-
Where you have a front tire climbing and a rear tire dropping so much that you end up with one of your tires wayyyy up in the air with very little suspension flex happening.

fuxured- It's ****ed but fixed enough to get back to camp.

Show truck - max effort build that never leaves camp

Creative line - Taking the most ****ed up line up an obstacle anyone has seen to date. Only counts if you make it.

In the groove- taking the typical line and on it.

Pop over - hit an obstacle hard enough to pop the front wheels up in the air, let off the power to let them settle while momentum has moved you closer to the obstacle and as soon as contact is made, with the fronts again give it all the horse-torques. This can end up with all the wheels in the air so you have rolled over. It works either way, you popped the vehicle over or you popped over the obstacle.

driving by braille: basically no spotter until absolutely necessary

Pucker factor: skinny/off camber sections that make you nervous of flopping or death

crawl it: less throttle, see if the tires will grab

give it some woo-pow: more throttle (woo) hopefully it doesnt break (pow)
