In Nor Cal like on the Rubicon, it is ALWAYS "driver" and "passenger" if you are a spotter, as opposed to "left" and "right".

Any spotter saying left and right is immediately identifying themselves as a someone is that is not a local, does not really know wheeling, or they are a flatlander.

never got that that was a location thing.

People who KNOW how to spot, as well as those who KNOW how to listen to a spotter, use D or P.

Its too easy to say "left", when you mean right, because you are looking at the vehicle.

Same here. Was funny to watch spotter telling a fellow in a rhd toyota driver / passenger meaning left and right. Fellow driving was all sorts of messed up.

Humping Rocks is where you're kind of just trying the same line and skating your front end around with the steering trying to see if you can catch some lucky traction somewhere, since it's usually accompanied with the truck gaining and losing traction in a bit of a back and forth motion making it look like your truck is doggystyling the rocks it's on.

Is there any fun specific term for a group of nearly identically built JKs on 37s humping the same obstacle for 4 hours on the same line, thereby making your entire trail day about 1.5 trails instead of the 6+ you could have easily covered if you didn't have to sit around watching the stupidity?

Here we tell the spotters to GTFO since they are likely to get hit when we bounce up obstacles.
Also we make fun of people who need spotters.

Turtled is when you're high centered on an obstacle with all 4 wheels spinning and going nowhere. As in:

JayMcJay HCT

Whopped out, "That tie rod end is Whopped the F out"

Heat Shields, Empty beverage cans that have been used as heat shields.

"I'll owe you $13.95" means I need a Zip tie and I didn't bring any so I've got no choice but to pay your Amazon Ultra Prime delivery prices.

Wadded up, "everyone is all wadded up down in that ravine" Stuck, and or multiple vehicles occupying a small space.

Double-wides = Side-by-sides

Weep Jave - Jeep Wave

Antuna Tennor - Antenna Tuner

Tabor Tight - That ratchet strap isn't just tight, it's Tabor Tight! (Randy Tabor, truck driver who tightened straps to the verge of structural failure of the load)

Humping rocks is a good way to launch driveshafts into orbit.

Say driver or passenger when spotting. If my buddy and I are being silly gooses I'll say "Trolley right/left". He'd ignore me cause even I dont know which direction I want him to go.

I have a buddy who uses "star torque" to describe how hard to tighten a nut. AKA, tighten until you see stars.

"Monkey ****in" -the process of getting turtled for a long time and making it worse with the efforts used to un-turtle.

Generally used to describe Ultra4 teams hung up on rocks for more than a few minutes in johnson valley.

"That rig has been monkey ****in down there for 30 minutes. They didn't even make it to the waterfall."
