Nice pics of your pets

Glad we aren’t the only ones with a herd of heelers! I can hear that second picture! Did one get his ear bit off? Wife with our four girls. There are two more not in the picture.

Bluey came to us recently because his owner couldn’t keep him. He’s a people person and is going to be a good dog.

Referencing the 4 boys in my pic.
Max 14 yo
Zeke 12 yo
Morris 2 yo
Cody 4 yo

yes Zeke got into a ruckus with Cody under the dinner table...and lost the tip of his ear.

But wait...there is a 5th, Rubie (14) an Anatolian Shepard and Zekes adopted mom. Pic is an early one when Zeke was less than a year old.

Zeke looks like a scrapper! Thx for sharing his story. Bluey got a bit of his ear taken off the same way but fortunately you can’t really tell now. All good looking dogs you have.

Mine uses a litterbox. I don't know if they can be trained or not. I think they just kinda go in one main spot so they really train you
Is this your first one? If so, would you get another?

Boyfriend want's an opossum really bad but now that I'm in an area where they are not, I don't know how to get a baby one. Those live 2-3yrs.

Da fuq would you want a opossum for? Those things dont even make good roadkill
They make GREAT pets!!!! So much personality and so fucking sweet and cute.

I didn't like them until he told me he wanted one then he showed me the fb page of the rescue lady. One guy named Buddy Holly convinced me during covid lockdown that yes, we do need opossum pets in our lives.

Met a guy from Arkansas (go figure) at the dunes last year that had one. Says it's a lot like a cat. I've had a couple pet raccoons when I was a kid and they are cat like as well.

This is my second one. I really like them. If you handle them daily when they're young they get very friendly. I can open her cage and she just hops in my hands. If you don't handle them much they're really skittish and some can be downright standoffish.

If you want one, I do recommend two things.

1. Be able to keep it somewhere that you can't hear it at night. They're very active at night.

2. Preferably have the cage not on carpet. They're not clean. The shed a lot. They'll get their hay all over the place, and their dust bath makes a mess. I keep her cage in a plastic pan and it's in my basement on a stained concrete floor. This makes cleanup easy. A quick sweep a couple times a week and it's all good. It would suck on carpet.

I guess a third thing is get a big cage. They're active. And get a really sturdy running wheel. They'll go through the cheapos like a hot knife through butter. They're hard on them.

This is the cage I have

The first thing you want to do is throw away the plastic trays in comes with. They'll chew them up for one and second, they have a very short lip on them which means even stuff ends up in your floor. Replace them with these metal ones with a 3" lip. They last and cut down on mess. I just went with galvanized instead of stainless and they've held up fine.

Red fox squirrels play like cats. Mine took his tiny stuffed toys to bed with him at night and wanted to be covered with a tiny blanket.
