We were done with dogs after our last Aussie passed, he was our "Best last dog" as the wife described him. "Blue"

Well moms health has declined, and she had two mini schnauzers
This guy is named Chewbacca "Chewy" in short.
He hasn't had much socializing and Is a little yappy, but seems to be smart, and trainable. So looks like we are in for another dog

We lost our mini schnauzer back in December. Yappy is just part of them. Great dogs. Stupid loyal and too smart for their own good. Ours thought she was ten feet tall and bulletproof and successfully bossed every GSD we’ve ever had around. She was boss bitch

I have never been a cat guy but I really do have the two best cats in the world. They're both roughly a year old. The white one I found abandoned and the vet approximated it at 2-3 days old and told me that it would have a 50/50 chance at best of surviving even if I did everything I could to take care of it. Me being me I couldn't just abandon it so I bottle fed this damn thing and well, here it is. The orange one came along a couple months later. The neighbor down the road adopted some feral barn kittens as mousers and his guy very clearly was no feral kitten. All it wanted to do was be around people but she's allergic to cats. So... well, here he is. They're out on the deck right now with my 8 year old daughter.

I've never had a little dog, my mother had two, we took one, and the two of them feed off of each other, they just seemed un socialized, and went crazy at every little sound.

Well after three months with the wife and I he has become very loyal and learning the routine, we walk every morning a little over a mile, he anticipates it and gets excited to go, He's learned to be civil on a leash:laughing: and has met and learend to some manners around other dogs.

The little guy is never in a bad mood:laughing:

The work now is to get him a 6 years old and a house cat at 8 years to find common ground. the nice thing is he is on the timid side If I raise my voice he instantly stops, That works well when him and the cat are sizing each other up. My money is on the 13 lb cat, this guy barely weighs 11 pounds:lmao:.

We didn't want a dog, but you get what life throws at you.

He automatically sounds better behaved than ours. I used to hate that damn dog! But I finally learned to love her. Her motto was “fuck da police…” You tell her no and she’d just back talk you and keep doing it. Her favorite thing was to wait till you were completely at peace and then she’d just randomly bark her ass off. We called it her “ghosts”. I make it sound like she was awful but she really wasn’t. Little shit won me over and I loved her dearly…

Your daughter is so cute!!!! What a great photo.

Bottle feeding gives you a great cat.

Here was that little drowned rat shortly after I found him.

I fed that thing forever with a damn bottle. Felt like a huge relief once it started using a bottle.

awwwwwww

I'd rather bottle feed one or two instead of five like I did last year. I remember stressing the fuck out the first time in 2003 because I couldn't get that litter of five to go potty. The vet said they were about 5 days old It's not easy but it's fun. My favorite out of that litter drank any drink I did. From coffee to alcohol.

He was king shit when he got his kitty tower.

Good looking Partner!!!
RIP Gracie.

My wife always said Mom had a good dog and a bad one, we got the good one. Yours sounds like the one my Brother took, "Max" laser focused, every noise brought the full bark, whether he knew you or not. My brother has chickens and the one I got I can yell at him and he scoots away, Max sizes you up, figures how long its gonna take for you to get to him and decide if he has time to kill that chicken before you reach him. Very A type personality for sure. He had the wife's cat by the throat, and the cat was fighting back, He's banned from the house:lmao:

I force all my animals to get along. I was going to make the bed but the sick 14yr old cat and two of the dogs were sleeping on it, so I didn't.

Those are pretty cats. I LOVE having my animals work together and protect each other. If one of the jack russel's scream Joey the cat, who raised them, comes running to KILL. I would not want to see what that cat would do if he was to attack to protect them.

The big dogs are protective af of the year-old kittens. The cats stay with the dogs so they should be safe.

Such a mild mannered group.

Appearances can be deceiving with heelers.
Glad we aren’t the only ones with a herd of heelers! I can hear that second picture! Did one get his ear bit off? Wife with our four girls. There are two more not in the picture.

Bluey came to us recently because his owner couldn’t keep him. He’s a people person and is going to be a good dog.
