Maximus, our American Alsatian. Sadly, he passed well before his time due to organ shutdown resulting from tick-borne infections (including Bebesiosis).

With him is Vivaldi, our Couton de Tulear, who just turned 8 and is a very cool little dog.

Just got this 2-1/2 year or Anatolian male. We need a new livestock guardian dog to be 100% ready when our aging Meremma is ready to retire. I have concerns about bringing a new male into the picture, but I really hope we can make this dog work out.

Is that a Pom?

I have always wanted one and it might be my next dog when I get to my retirement age
Yes, Pom. I've never considered owning any of the ankle biter breeds, but my wife wanted one and you know what they say about happy wives. So far she's very social and comfortable around strangers. The wife on the other hand....

Decided to get cats this time after my 2 schnauzers passed.
Sisters free off of CL. Left and right with matching color collars.
Left is a fat lazy cat and right is a go getter.
They teamed up to keep me from getting anything done.

Great Pyrenees (or mix)? I have a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix that is the same way.

Pure, well definitely not 50/50. Both parents looked pure, but he's not papered.

Took him for a walk to meet my oldest at the bus stop. Which I've never done because I thought he'd be such a pain. He actually did great and pulled was less than our labs.

They're actually super mellow 99% of the time

Yep. Henry is pretty mellow too, unless the cat the people next door left behind when they moved comes into his yard.

My son ("his boy") is down in Phoenix (my wife splits time between Phoenix and here, sometimes takes my son, sometimes leaves him, but always leaves the dog); so he's laying where my son lays when he's here. He sure misses "his boy".

Here are my two Great Danes. Grace, our female is the one standing on the couch, and Tiny, our male who we just rescued about a month ago. They've gotten to be great friends/siblings. She's def. the boss. And a huge diva. Wouldn't give either away. They're the same age, 2 1/2 years old, but apparently he bit someone and why he was given to the shelter and then the Big Dawgs Huge Paws Rescue.

Grace is about 120 lbs and snores like a freight train. She loves getting up between my wife and I at night, and shoving her head under my neck and then snoring to her hearts content.

Tiny is now about 150 lbs. I'm 6'2" and he looks me in the eye's when I let him get up on me. He has a butt load of energy and has really gotten attached to Grace. He's also calmed Grace down quite a bit with guests. Before She would be quite timid, but now, she's only timid for a min and realizes people are okay. Tiny just wants attention and just bulldozes his way over to get your attention. Funny for me, but some people don't appreaciate it.

We had to rescue my FIL's cat from his retirement home a little over a year ago. The home he's in allows pets as long as the owner can take full care of them. He's gotten so that he can't really bend over to clean a litter box or really keep his cat fed anymore so we had to go save her. She is 18 years old and 5 pounds. The wife and I were pretty concerned that our existing 5 year old 21 pound male was going to kill her while we were at work. Joke was on us. She ran his ass all over the house and is 100% the boss. She would beat teh shit out of him any time he got within 10 feet of her and would steal his food. :lmao:

It was pretty tough for 9 months or so but they are finally getting friendly.
