Enough of this kumbaya bullshit.

How was the fair?
Third best one I’ve been to in California.
It’s just spread out.
parking is spread out all over Three or four different areas.
Beer area is split in two sections. There is at lease a third one in the arena to serve everyone so the line is longer than any other one.
livestock isn't attractive.
I think they only have two bathrooms and they’re old as fuck. Men’s actually had a broken toilet. I mean physically broken not “out of order because no one flushes” broken.
cell service sucks after about 6pm.
not a single pool was clean.
90 minutes for a corn dog with a shit ton of breading dip stuff on it for too much money.
My $11 cheeseburger was really good.

its a 6/10 on the “county fair” scale. Excellent viewing if you’re into that kind of thing.

edit: oh yeah one more thing. The arena “events” are rigged. How in the fuck does ANYTHING win against a red, white, and blue Chevrolet K30 monster truck? oh...because in 1986 someone once saw Bigfoot so now any blue Ford wins everything.

I did enjoy the dune buggy trying to compete with the side by sides. Broke some steering parts when he made it past the first turn, and the race car showing you the course rolled it in the first turn. The ultra 4 cars that showed up were cool to watch rip around the course.

Cute kids. Good looking group.

ADD, if you or SugarRay can start a thread about a group camp next year, I'll jump in with details and pics.

I guarantee all the kids would have an absolute blast at that water RV park I mentioned. Better than Tahoe or Santa Cruz because no need to drive or walk anywhere for all the activities for the kids to enjoy all their time on vacation. There's a certain area that would be perfect for a group to book, depending on how many total rigs we put together. Anyone without a trailer is all good, too. They allow tents and also offer cabin rentals. Even expensive ones with a hot tub for some of you rich guys.

Hey Add where is the voting link you said you'd send me? Looks like Nevada County needs to gain some popularity.

I think the Watsonville Strawberry Festival ranks higher than the Nevada County Fair. At least THEY have a 5k fun run. I don't know what is so fun about running, but maybe you can throw strawberries at people running...which sounds almost as much fun as monster trucks.

I go to the Santa Cruz one listed on there every year and the nevada county one was much better.

2big bronco well Santa Cruz sucks sooo….

Have you ever gone to the Watsonville Strawberry festival? If so, and you can compare, how does it compare to the Garlic Festival? My wife actually wants to go to that at some point.

One month away.
Anyone going to show up or will it be me and ADD hanging out alone in the beer garden?

Monster trucks Saturday.
Tough trucks Sunday.
