What's new

My visit to the E.R....

Did you tell the doctor that? Was it a honey bee? Or something else? If honey bee how did you remove the stinger?
I forgot about it. It was a honey bee, I could tell by the stinger that I pulled out of my neck about a minute after it happened. :homer:
I haven't had any problems with bee stings besides soreness and swollness in the past.

Have you ever had issues with optic migraines? Lot of your symptoms you describe seem to fall in that category.
Hope you are doing better.....
I do get migraines. If I see flashing lights it is bright flashes like lightning.

I was going to suggest this also. When I get a really bad optic migraine it’s almost like a mild stroke. I’ll get vertigo and have difficulty remembering things.

Glad you didn't become a cabbage!! Can you think of the foods/drink recently consumed?

I had a problem at this job, which is working long hours & one then day a week to return for the morning shift. I ate lotsa cake with chocolate frosting & downed coffee that day which after a while it looked like a sun block shade was being drawn in right eye. After 6 weeks, I resumed the night shift & problem(s) went away.

Walk it off Nancy boy- :flipoff2:

So if you pulled it out you helped the sac inject all of its venom into you. And you can go forever with having no issues with bee stings until you don't have that tolerance anymore. The bee sting probably didn't cause your issue but you need to tell your doctor and let them make that call. My dad kept 80-100 hives from the mid 80s until he died in 1999 so I've been stung a few times.

I’m no expert, but a guy I know had a bad episode that he blamed on drinking to many energy drinks.

Get checked out man..
This too. I hardly ever ever have one anymore because of how I feel afterwards. Used to have multiple Monsters a day.

Yeah I know, I couldn't see what I was grabbing and thought that it was a different bug bitting me.

I was aware of that. My grandfather wasn't allergic to bees Until one day he was.

Something is causing your blood pressure to skyrocket and the skyrocketing blood pressure is probably what's causing the symptoms. Gotta figure out the underlying cause.

Sounds like my wife when she was pregnant. She had preeclampsia which would cause wild blood pressure fluctuations and she had similar symptoms but not this severe. You been getting pounded out lately?
I almost lost my wife to misdiagnosed preeclampsia. Scary stuff! By the time she made it to the er, her blood pressure was 205/150. Nearly dead. Liver failure, etc. They pulled my boy out at 27 weeks to save both of them.

Yeah, it's scary stuff. We were lucky my wife's OBGYN specialized in high risk pregnancies. She actually transitioned in the practice shortly after to being the high risk specialist. She stopped taking regular patients and they'd basically just dump all the issues in her lap but it worked for everyone. She loved dealing with the complicated stuff. My wife ended up being induced right at the cusp of being considered a full term pregnancy, whatever that is. It's been eight years ago so I'm fuzzy in all the details.

Her OB told us that if we had another she'd take it because it would be considered high risk right out of the gate and to consider that before we decide to have another. Our daughter is an only child. My wife really wanted another. I really didn't between finances and risks to her health. She ended up having two very early on miscarriages afterwards and took that as her body telling her "bad idea, hun".

Thanks I forgot to warn him about such activities since we lost LilYota,

Gotta get healthy as I dont have enough storage capacity for your stuff at present time oh and all the rock crawlers here and maybe the other place at most of us cleaved from would curse ya for leaving without permission.

So neener!

Glad you got checked out. Now....stay on it until determinations are made.

Ain't no more dying allowed around here, right now.

I like Celsius. But I didn't drink any yesterday or today, so far.
I’m pretty sure these things caused nearly similar issues in myself. Not so much that they caused it but that they exacerbated something else after drinking too many over time. In particular the green tea non carbonated mixture ones.

We were straight up told do not try again. We both got fixed. I'm glad it all worked out for you and your wife for real.

And for the OP, I hope you get a solid diagnosis as soon as possible.

I'm in the visual migraine camp. I get them about 6x a year. I've also had positional vertigo. Never both at the same time, but sure why not.

That's come scary shit.

Why Modesto from where you live? That's a long as drive with severe symptoms happening
It's about the same between Fresno and Modesto. Los Banos has a horrible hospital and I don't hear good things about Merced either.

I don't, I don't want to be taking medications, especially for something like anxiety or depression that is going to be fucking up my head.
My wife and I are on high BP meds, I get meds for high BP, she gents anxiety meds, Go figure??

don't let them write this off to stress , figure out what's up.

We don't want to lose you:flipoff2::flipoff2:
