What's new

My saturday , 3 pallets of redimix.

The guys I hired to put up blocks and level out and build a wall and pour a slab in my crawl space , did it with bags instead of calling a truck .

Same price to me . But it was weird watching them spend more money on bags than a truck would have cost .
This was pre Covid so no six week wait for the truck .

We did this about a year before we started the garage

While we're on the subject, has anyone tried the fancy pants disposable forms like Octaform and Extrutech?

Andrew Camarata youtube formed his garage with that stuff and he fingered out how to do decent corners with it too.
(assuming that 's the stuff your talking about).

more about this please
This was built one piece at a time .

Been My sons daily driver for ten years .

He wanted a 4wd 4 speed Stepside Chevy .

We bought this one from a horse ranch in New Mexico .

It has a 76-77 cab , front fenders and doors are from a 73 K-5 with the one year only woodgrain insert , and one year only tiny window regulators , core support is from a 80,
No idea what year the frame and bed are from . Nor what year the engine and trans were from .
No part numbers on anything , came with a state issued VIN and matching title .

Cab was from a 2wd because the trans tunnel was all hacked up .

Over the ten years we’ve had it , it’s fine though a lot of changes .
Originally had a 350 for barrel and a SM-465 trans .

Had lots of trouble with the carb and swapped on TBI

Swapped the 4 speed granny for a NV3500 five speed .

Then the 350 got a flat lobe on the cam

Swapped in a 2001 LS 5.3

Somewhere along the line it got taller springs , then when we got some money it got some new ones from Alcan Spring

New steering box from Redhead

AC from Vintage Air

New wood in the bed twice , once with cedar and once with the fake plastic Trex decking

The 10
Bolt axle didn’t last long with 35 inch tires so it got a 14 bolt full floater , which later got disc brakes .
