I’ll finish pulling the forms in the morning. I had a blow out in a very unexpected place. I put in a acces hole. Well I was using the donkey dick vibrator, a bit too much and It pulled the screws out and bowed it an inch or so. I will pick up some Portland cement and rub it all down next week.

I done a bunch like this and I got to be honest I don't mind it.

It's all in the setup, concrete on the trailer, mixer next to the trailer fender, only buy 50 lb sacks

This is where i got carried away with the vibrator. It caused it to pull out 10 or so wood screws that were an inch deep in yellow pine. We took my gut wagon and put it in 4 low and backed it up the hill pushing it back with a 4x4 from the 2 plus inches it was bowed out. But it is still and inch or so out.

I'm too much of a tight ass for that, and i had used those 30 years ago. i figured since i was doing a slow pour it would be fine. i just forgot I'm am idiot with a vibrator.
and another life lesson. i got a bunch of free 3/4" plywood that i framed up most of it. but i was a little short so i used some osb i has. that was a fucking mistake. caused me a fair share of headache.
i went by the hydraulic shop to get new seals for the skid. they were closed, so i will go back earlier today.

those were unobtainium when I poured my 54 foot long, foundation wall (6 foot high in some places).

Instead I formed mine with rough cut 2x6 and 2x4 and used 10 foot lengths of 3/8 threaded rod (at $6 each).
I thought about doing the "pencil rod" thing
but dipping them in wax before use so they could be yanked out for reuse

spent the dollar apiece on snap ties, left them on the wall in a few places, they make really nice shelf hanger brackets.

upstairs I've been thinking about board forming it, because I saw an elevator shaft in a really old surplus store in the cities that was done that way a hundred years ago and it looks really cool

Fuck yeah it does!

I think, maybe, eventually my "addition" wall might look like it was original because it matches the house somewhat. (although the house isn't nearly as "rustic" ).
