Well i have had the trenched 4’ deep and 8”s wide since thanksgiving. I poured 3 pallets of concrete in the trench to get it about 6” below ground level. Then i framed up the forms for the beam. Last soring i was about to pour and i fawked my back up. I was a cripple for over a month, damn near bed ridden. About the time i get over that im getting ready for a week in Colorado. Them it turns hotter than Hades. Well we got a bit of a break this week. So i called Jai Bird and Butterbean for a mixing party this morning.

No trucks available, everyone is booked out. No interest in such a small pour. No ones doing a Saturday pour. I could have got one through a buddy deal but it would have been later in the day after their other pours. And i don't want to wait all day on it. Plus my forms are shitty, so letting it firm up as we go is a godsend.

What's the concrete for?
Looks like a wall of some sort, maybe a foundation. Usually, concrete is used because when mixed and formed correctly, it'll last hundreds of years without failing, and won't rot like wood or other organic materials.

That's not what's important right now though, we're watching gunracer1 build shit the hard way :flipoff2:
