Confirmed. Multi Hub works. 8, 6, 4, 3, and 2 blade configurations. Tested all but 2. 3 blades draws 57 amps running which falls within the continuous current of the controller. I know there's data supporting less blades for greater flow efficiency, so this is good. 3 blades still blows my buttons off. Noise is a little choppier, but that will be just fine when buffered by radiators.
I still want to staple some window screen to a frame and set it in front of the fan. Really need to come up with some different hub hardware too. The blade hub to intermediate hub bolts overlap the fan hub just enough that I have to loosen them every time I want to open the fan hub. Out of curiosity, I'll weigh the 3 blade config. 8 bladed config was already lighter than the OE fan.
Success overall. Gonna pack up and go browse the Hummer fans. They're only 16", but hey, they might work. Posted my amp readings for each blade count for anyone wondering.
