The glycinate variety of magnesium is the best (readily available in my area) form of magnesium for you, so yes take it. All the other bullshit magnesium such as stearate, citrate and especially oxide, should be avoided in favor of glycinate.
And mag "bysglycinate" is even better than glycinate. They are both chelated (bonded to glycine molecules) but the bisglycine is bonded to 2 molecules for better bioavailability, where glycine has only 1 molecular bond.
Magtein L-threonate (another magnesium supplement) yet again is even better (crosses the blood-brain barrier) as it's a precursor to magnesium and also an essential amino acid... aka magnesium L-threatine.
Both bys and threonate magnesium aren't easy to locate anywhere. Drug stores, warehouse markets, sprouts, whole foods etc or anywhere else just do not fucking carry it. Pisses me off that i can't just go and buy the good shit.
Side notes, IME people should avoid benadryl completely and also ditch the melatonin (long term). I know i know, hospitals will toss you a benny in a paper cup but that shit is NOT a good drug. Diphenhydramine (benny drill) is the devil in disguise, don't ask me to get into it, thanks.
