Least shitty/Most Superior Gas CAn

Yard sales for the old Blitz style. Then add a vent and your pouring gas anywhere and everywhere just like they were designed to do. I also buy the jugs without caps and buy the 1 or 2 gallon jugs if the have the spout and yellow cap. Then toss the little jugs.

I think it is MRYELLOWCAP.COM or something like that for vents. Im on my phone so no Linkslide for the lazy.
New spouts and vents. I haven't bought here, though.

Scribner plastics. Square vp can style jugs "not for fuel use". Caps have a pipe thread (3/4 npt iirc) plug in the middle, jugs have a vent in the handle, the hole is about the right size to tap to 1/4 npt. Adapt whatever you like for spout/breather.

My favorite.

I got some shit chinese knockoff NATO cans on craigslist for like $12 each

they are the best I've used that actually seal
you are not going to use the pour spout, they make them into the worst can I've ever used as they preclude the vent from working

they got a little tube inside the mouth that farts air past the mouth into the top, so when you're pouring they don't glug, and they've only got the one cam-lock gasket sealed cap, so they do not let the good shit evaporate. I'll get 5 gallons of chainsaw gas and it'll still be perfectly fine after a year when I'm using up the last of it. I use an ancient little gallon can to schlep it around in.

I just use a siphon hose. One of these so I don't get a mouth full of fuel. https://www.amazon.com/Siphon-Self-...ng-FDA-Grade/dp/B00MVAIL76?tag=91812054244-20

Just set whatever can you have on the wheel well in the truck bed and run the hose in to the filler neck and let her rip. Its a bit harder with an suv, but it still works. Its way better than trying to hold a can with a leaky spout while your trying to keep the spout in the fill neck and the can off the body of the vehicle. Also the hose flows pretty well so your not waiting long. Works with any gas can.

But I just use Jerry cans.

I like the Tuff Jug with the quick fill I picked up two off of eBay I still have two other VP type jugs with the hose but mostly use the Tuff Jugs now.

2.4 gallons per minute. There's no way I wouldn't rip that thing off and throw it away after the first minute.

My race can dumps 5 gallons in about 15 seconds.

Well of course I didn't read any of that :lmao:

Strap through the handle, one around the bodies, you just pull them into the corner and tighten.

Are you saying this won't work on a VP can? Mine do this all the time, the corners might be rounded but they will stay in a corner no matter their shape.

I do like the Tuff Jug over the VP racing ones, they have the handle/cap opening correctly oriented so it will be on the top side instead of bottom for when you are pouring.

Have they really screwed up gas can so badly? I just go to Canadian tire or wherever and buy a can, drill the vent out a but bigger and run it. Never really thought that it could or should be better.

I do have a bunch of diesel cans with algae in them, any hints on how to clean that out? Otherwise every time I use them I have to swap my fuel filter.
