I snapped the main leaf on my daily driver 2011 Super Duty. I need to order new rear packs immediately. Where do you guys suggest I purchase new leaf packs from? I have ordered from a few different places in the past, but it has been a decade plus. No idea who is good and who isn't. Thanks for the input!

Appreciate the replies so far.

I want to put a heavier pack in, which is why I have not approached the dealer. Maybe I can get a VIN for an F-350 and try that route.

The current pack has two leafs and an overload (2+1). I would like to at least go to a 3+1 pack. This truck has always suffered from saggy ass syndrome due to the weak rear packs. It has had airbags on it for its whole life.

Our (fire dept.) 2006 f350 has a 250 gallon drop in tank and pump in the bed that sagged the leafs after 14 years. Had the Ford dealer replace them with a heavier spring option that carries it much better. Would be worth a call.

I just got some 63's for the Runner from RockAuto. 2+1 1500lb for $175/each
Maybe they have HD?

I like my Atlas springs I purchased last year, but they were 8 weeks before the supply problems.

i find the part number i want then price shop between these 3 places, ordered from them all multiple times.

stengelbros is my go to for custom u bolts, usually ship out within a day or two

Ended up going through the local spring shop. They are building me a custom setup to do what I want. They are a little more than an off the shelf spring, but I will get just what I want. $700 including u-bolts and bushings.
Sounds like a deal to me. Thanks for following up to your thread.

the local guy we used to go through was real cool
he had this massive shear where he'd cut half the blade away so it was both for shearing the ends, and arching them
had a bigass gear driven flywheel on it, but the motor side pinion had been lost long ago so he just had a couple way long V-belts running flat atop the gear teeth

Seems like a fair price with current steel prives:beer:

I remember my old boss buying a new 2011 F250 to replace his 08 F350. He asked me to hook up the empty 22 deck over trailer. Stupid thing sagged like 5", same trailer would get pulled by the 2010 F250 no problem unless it was loaded really heavy. He ended up putting air bags in almost immediately.

I have no idea why they thought putting 1/2 ton leafs in a 3/4 ton would be a good idea. My 2018 F250 service truck didn't have that issue at all, so I guess they realized it at some point.

It wierd that people say local spring shop like it's as common as a tire shop. Is that an east coast/rust belt thing?

I'd go to the junkyard and grab a set, (Actually I'd probably already have a set on a parts pickup and go that route instead) and then take your old packs that you are pulling out and add leafs from them into the new set. Done it many times.
