One of these is not like the other

The last Tyson fight looked like he got gassed early. If Jake can dodge Tysons early thunder he might have a chance

Well, he went to jail for beating a woman, I doubt he wanted to do it again
Imma gonna have to say he didn't "beat" that annoying twat because if he did I'd wager she'd have gotten rightly fucked up.

On another note, how many old guys are going to get their asses kicked because of this fight? “Mike made a fool of that punk, I’ll run my mouth off at that chump who brushed into me at the store.” I’m an old guy that has had to come to grips with my decline. Sucks but it is life.
This is going to be one for the ages. It isn't just a fight night. I bartended many years at one of the only bars that would pay the commercial fight night fees, and those fees still weren't as steep as the 2 local cops we'd hire for the night to keep the testosterone in line. Even with the cops I've had my ass handed to me just trying to keep the peace between idiots on more than one occasion.

This isn't going to be the normal fight night crowd. You've got the Gen Xer crowd who thinks they still have it versus the millennial crowd that runs their mouths on gaming sites and internet forums but haven't ever even done so much as an arm wrestling contest. The millennials are going to run their mouths like usual while the Xers (and pretty much everyone else on the planet) get tired of their shit, and it's going to come to a head before the arses can backpeddle their way out of it.

It's not a fight between matched boxers. This is a fight for bragging rights between generations.

All you guys confident in Tyson, you can make some money if you really believe it.
If you spend $100 and bet on him, you stand to gain a profit and earn back $165.
Meanwhile, if you spend $100 on Jake to win, you'll only win $50.

2 bets. Both $100.
One bet gets you $165 and the other only $50.
And guess what? People are still buying the $50 win - JP.

The gap has recently closed though, because JP used to have a bigger margin. Even though, for it to hold this steady the night before still feels solid.

People forget that Tyson was always a tiny heavyweight. He was at a significant size/reach disadvantage in pretty much every match he ever fought.
It also let him get in closer and land shit that people didn't see coming and couldn't really defend against. If you watch his fastest knockouts his whole body is usually inside the other guys arms when they knocked out.

Honestly I’d rather get hit bare knuckle by just about any random street fighter than get hit by a real boxer with gloves. 14ounces of padding only matters when the guy isn’t trying to hit the back of your head from the front.
A boxer is scary because of the precision of his punches. That and the 1000’s of hours beating on the heavy bag.

But honestly the biggest thing that surprised me about is the importance of your footwork. Have good footwork makes your punches so, so much better. I spend more time practicing footwork drills, than punching drills. I can get guys so pissed off at me sparring night because they can’t hit me because my feet are always moving.

You know there was another option on that bet line besides win/lose....
