It's Time To Move!

Just curious, what do you do for a living that allows you to up and move with no exit plans? Pretty soon cali will be empty of all normal people with a brain.😜

I work for an engineering company doing water treatment. A bunch of things changed for me in the last year that have made this doable.

The main thing being I work for 14 days and am off for 14 days. I was informed last week that I need to get my passport straightened out, apparently I'm supposed to be in Mexico somewhere next.

So I still work...I just fly to where I'm working.

Welcome to Missouri!
You both picked pretty good places to dissappear, but the best place on my opinion is in the SE section of the state around/in the Mark Twain National Forests......but the meth can be strong in those areas.

That was something I had researched (inadvertantly)

The way I took it was a good possibilty east of 44.

We wanna get out there and drive around a bit though.

Boliver is centered between some good lakes. Truman and Stockton for fishing and Tablerock for boating. Good wheeling decently close too. In the boonies though but sounds like thats what you want.

I have a good friend in Morrisville MO. Really small town of about 350 people I think. I drive thru Bolivar headed to SMORR quite a bit. Welcome to the area.

I just want everyone to know that this is Austin fault:laughing:
At first I was like ....

Then I remembered where you're moving from .... so ...

You bought an 88 4Runner from me with a seized crank bearing. We still own that house in St Robert, but live in FL. My plans are to retire back in the area. I love the Ozarks and Mark Twain Forests.

so it looks like the connection is getting hot for the tail lights and pissing them off.

I think I'll loose that 3 feet of wire and try again.

Why do people do that crap?:mad3:

Looks like it may actually be the plug on the truck.

I spread it out a bit with a screw driver...Well see

Wife and I have been looking to leave Colorado, too much of the stupid people. Minnesota and Maine have been topping the list, we want remote with a good winter.

How far did you make it into your trip before needing to deal with the trailer lights?

On the way to SMORR. Perfect. As doc mentioned EZ is a little past there hiding out. I’m on the other side of the KS line in case you break headed through. Hell, headed back from the KS/CO line from a rescue mission to get Miles the KOH announcer out of a jam right now.

I assume the route from CA to southern MO will take you south of me, but I'm on I-70 if any help is needed.

We are setting up temporarily in Bolivar Mo.

We rented a house. If we don't like it or find what we are looking for we'll look somewhere else.

The plan though is to buy about 10 acres and disappear.

I'm sure some California hater will chime in...Maybe we'll move in down the road from them.

Who knows.
Is that truck load all your worldly possessions? You’d need a train of semis to move my ass. That, is the one problem with owning land you can stretch out on is you accumulate stuff and pack rat it away.

that’s not a bad area to be at, close to several lakes including table rock, if you’re a dirt bike rider there is an area called Chadwick near Springfield which is an awesome place to ride. Used to do a lot of harescamble practice riding there. I had a mid engine ski boat too and we would stay at table rock water skiing and then dirt bike riding and margaritas at the evening.
SMORR and Disney ok isn’t too far from there either. Clayton ok if it’s still a place to wheel and then off road adventure park in hot springs Arkansas

As far as California haters, you’ll be fine so long as non of that democrat ways drags in along with you. Currently we have a very red state and very protective 2nd rights here. As anything tho it can change in the wrong way and the Dems are fighting to change it like California. So it a short version, vote conservative values here or I’ll drive across mo and kick you in the rant all way back into California :flipoff2:

Let me know when you get to MO. we'll do some wheeling..

Same about haters. In another thread I started, some called me a CO commie lol. We're not even from CO.

I'm planning my exit soon and anytime I hear all that "California liberals ruining everything" I usually respond with "You know I'm leaving BECAUSE of that crap, right?"

I'm probably more conservative/libertarian than half of the people that say that **** anyway, and not just because that's the norm where I grew up like them. My conservatism was forged and refined by a lifetime of nagging by far left crazies and apathetic, "moderate" sheep.

Yep. I bring that up all the damn time. People never seem to consider that many of us have recognized Kommiefornia as the lost cause it is and elected to abandon ship and get away from the lunacy.

Holy hot shot! What a setup to move with. Godspeed on your relocation!:beer::beer:

Congratulations on the exit. We decided Oklahoma is where we land. Wife's family is there and my vote to go back to Utah lost out, so yeah, no more mountains for me. :lmao:. But, **** this state with everything possible.

Oh and anyone who could voluntarily live in massive2****s can kiss my red ass.
