I haven't been in there in a few years..
Strate's drive in sold in the last year or so also. Still named Strate's but the food isn't near as good. Place was known for tenderloins and really good soft serve ice cream. Wife was out of town last spring and I stopped in and got a sandwich. I wasn't aware old man Strate had sold the place. when I got my lunch I was pretty disappointed. Ice cream isn't as good either.. Seemed like it was more ice milk than the good ice cream.. 😕

Strates went downhill when I was still a kid ! Back then they used unprocessed milk from a local farm in the ice cream and it was ten times better . Towns been dying for a long time it seems . Remember back when Harmony House was open ? I can still smell it now .

I don't care for El Paso in Pittsville myself. The place in Holden is better IMO but I'll eat wherever.. tacos are always a good thing. lol
