I would have just had you hold it till I make a trip up there soon. Now their saying it’s only 40 hp. That won’t work for me. Thanks anyways.I can pick it up but I have no idea when or how I'd get it to you.

I could hold it easily. Let me know if you change your mind.

I Mentioned that it only made 40 HP new
YepI’m sure I don’t need that.
I was thinking it was like a TDI. This might sound crazy, but I was considering a swap into my Delorean. It won’t take much to improve on a Delorean motor, but 40 hp won’t do. It would be nice to have the whole TDI engine/transmission setup and just mount it in the back. All I would have to do was adapt the two shafts to the wheels. Are all TDIs computer Controlled?
I’ve seen a tdi in a Pontiac Fiero and I’d love to see one in a delorean
Ours was totally stock but with some larger injectors and a computer tune they can make some good power
Go for a early 2000's beetle or jetta with an ALH. Real easy to make run with 1 wire. Decent power potential. The computers is why they make power and live. MTDI will not live at fun power levels. You wouldn’t have link to a build thread on the Fiero?
Are you saying new Beetles have TDIs in them? That’s what’s in yours? Where are you located?

runs poorly on waste oilSerious question- why TDI? Is mileage really that important? Rolling coal? Using the other pump to be weird?
If you're in Italy driving a 1.1l go-kart getting 97mpg i get it, but I don't really understand the US craze for tiny diesels.

that'd probably work out pretty okay, especially if it's got something like 2.73s in the rearI wanted to swap it in my sons 65 falcon station wagon for a 40 mpg cool cruiser wagon
The Delorean motor and trans are not known to be very good. (Both power and reliability) Right now mine is running good and I’m not likly to fix something that ain’t broke. If I have trouble in the future, there’s lots of work to swapping. So I would like to solve multiple issues. The two issues I have are slightly less power than I would like and not enough range.Serious question- why TDI? Is mileage really that important? Rolling coal? Using the other pump to be weird?
