lil public school that was trying to be all big town:homer:

Looking back on it now, that school was pretty fucked up
The schools are a money grab
this year, on the second day of school I get a notice that she owes 31.00 for lunches. She has yet to have a meal there this year. They still wont fix it
Every year I get a bill for 'fees' no description, for using her note book thingy that is issued to them for homework. She is in 10th grade, and I refuse to pay that crap . They hand them to the kids and tell the kids to collect from Mom and Dad, my kids slides it right back to them and tell them that they are wasting their time, god luck collecting it....want his number?
Doesn't shock me that they charge for lockers now

Mine wouldn’t get her diploma until I paid an art fee from freshman year.

I had classes that were close together and I'd carry my books to class for that. Few of us had backpacks/book bags. You just carried shit like men.
However, I tried to make it back to my locker a much as possible. Chrissy was right next to me throughout my duration in TX schools. Just imagine.....this is her at 50 and a doctor.

My experience with women that look like this now were skinny, homely and looked like 12 year old boys in school. They usually filled out quite nice a few years out of school. The hot ones in high school ballooned up after school, their glory days were high school.

YMMV:lmao:

Yes I used my locker, My sons private school had no lockers.

I used the crap out of my locker in middle school. All my books lived there and my backpack was nice and light.

A kid ruined high school lockers for everyone the year before I got there. He was storing his shotgun in the locker so he could go shoot after school and someone saw it and told a teacher. He got a stern talking to and the lockers got removed. That was 1993, so no one was worried about school shootings outside of gang activities yet. If I had a locker, I definitely would have used the shit out of that. My high school was big and lots of walking happened.

This was in the early 2000's...

my principal tried that on me the last week of my senior year
I looked at him and asked if it was worth dealing with me for another year, because that is what is going to happen, only this time I have nothing to loose
I got my diploma :grinpimp:

Mine accused me of littering a milk carten during lunch off campus, then threatened me with detention for not picking it up lastly I had to be reminded that everyone though we weren't on campus I couldn't cuss at him. I didn't pick up the milk carten and suggested that he did before walking away. Nothing happened to me over the deal:homer:.

Where's the "Hey, let's stuff the kid into the locker" stories-
our team manager forgot our bat bag (back when people shared bats) on a road game. We had to borrow a single bat from a parent. It was a shitty bat. We still won.

the next day, some guys put the team manager in a locker in the varsity room. The lockers were big (you could walk in) and mesh (so you could see out of them) the locker room was separate from the main locker room and basically soundproof.

When we came in, he was crying. He never forgot the bats again and he wasn't mad. He said he was crying because he felt stupid.

The other team manager knew he was in there and knew the combo but just hung out at practice like normal.

I was a team captain (one of three) none of us were directly ordering it, but we let it happen.

At the time, I wasn't mad at him, I just thought it was stupid and could have cost us. The next game we assigned the two sophomores on the team to carry the gear. We didn't allow that team manager to do shit the rest of the year and when we played at Dodger and Anaheim stadiums, we made him sit in the stands.

All this.
I dragged my 15yo daughter's backpack out of the Jeep tonight and asked her why she's carrying around rocks.
She says she doesn't have time between classes to run the length of the school twice. I dunno, maybe she spends her time jawing. I didn't.
That’s usually the issue

I would wait a couple weeks after school started and find a locker that wasn’t being used in a suitable location and just start using it .

Throw the books in it that were for the class it was near .

I usually hauled some home with me on the bus because the ride was 75 minutes , mostly on dirt roads , so I had plenty of time to study .

Diplomas are over rated I managed to make a pretty good life for myself and my family without one:flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

I just retired after 40 years, and amazingly no one ever asked me for it, my class was 1980.
the only time I have needed to provide it was ironically at the Community College when I was getting my AA

also
no one has asked me for that diploma either :grinpimp:

I've worked hard and my body paid a price, but I feel like I cheated the "system" 6 figures for plenty of years, cars, boats, toys, private schools, and pulling down what I was making while I worked in retirement.

Who says the Average guy can't get by:smokin::flipoff2::smokin::flipoff2:.

live within your means, be smart with what you spend. Pay yourself first ( Meaning take care of your investments and save first, Even if it means beans and rice when your young, my son is learning that lesson)

Sorry, don't mean to preach:cool2:

My daily is a 500.00 car
and my house is paid for
I have worked the trades, and did the same thing:grinpimp:

I don't remember ever carrying a backpack to class ever. Carry my shit from the bus/car in a backpack to my locker, then carry books and shit to class. I think I remember having some classes that were close together and not near my locker that I would just bring both classes worth of shit to them without bothering to go back to the locker

my backpack was for survival. I could last a whole week in the woods without support with what was in there

My kid found it in the back of the closet, and wanted to use it because you know 'retro' is a thing now
and she promptly pulled the straps out of it overloading it
