Hey is it possible for you to see the most ignored users? If so could you set a threashold that if enough people ignore them, they are not contributing members of the board and need to be removed... Sorta like an incentive program for people to use the ignore feature and make life easier on your mods..
 
Even remove their IP, with VPN it doesn't matter if I understand correctly. So, new username by that afternoon.
I hated Dildo when he started in. Now, on occasion, he actually tries to put forward a position and defend it instead of shitting on those he disagrees with and strutting out, chalking up a win

You think that's creepy? He occasionally contributes outside GCC too! I did a doubletake when I saw a post that wasn't shit-stirring.
 
Time to bring back walking the plank. Last time I suggested that the response seemed to be that censorship was lame, but physically finding them in person and sawing their hands off is illegal - got to be some middle ground somewhere:laughing:

If a thread was posted about whether or not someone should walk the plank, a 'poll' set up with yes or no, and yes must win by 100 votes or some other parameter - seems like a win to me. If 100 or more people vote to have you removed, you're obviously doing something wrong. Although I suppose that the downside would be they sign up with a different username, unless their IP can be blocked.

Just thinking out loud over here - will definitely try out the ignore feature:grinpimp:

Give people some time to work themselves into adulthood here. Remember when "bgaidan" joined pirate? BIG GAY DAN had to earn his merits thru chit chat because he seemed to like the lumps. Took a long time if I recall. He still has his moments I've noticed these last 2 days, eh DAN? :flipoff2:

anyone that votes to ban someone should also get banned if they quoted and engaged the one they voted for in the past week

I said in another thread, I'll respond sometimes, when it seems legit. Usually their response makes it clear it's not a debate, it's just shit posting.

If you missed the "clear path to victory" thread. Calling them out on the dumb got worse than the actual trolling. Bad enough to get the thread locked. :homer:

I stayed out of that thread. The phrase "clear path to victory" reminds me of Tim Russert which then makes me want to kill people. LOL.

Trolling does not bother me at all but it sure is entertaining to watch people who get triggered by trolls. :smokin:

if somebody is bugging you in a different thread, then give them the attention they crave. spin off a thread "michael **** is a bitch" or "bump this thread" or whatever, then you can pester them there and keep them out of whatever other thread.

chuck and michael are reallly the only couple of totally useless trolls that we have at the moment, would be nice if they could evolve into a dildo or changelance or eviltwit level.

the only thing that bugs me is when the latter get too far off their point and stop being productive.

some of the slightly more in depth ones are interesting, there aren't many that can't string together more than a phrase or two and it's neat to see where they go. it's not just on here, i do it in reality too :laughing:
