How was/is your Halloween?

Last year the deer ate the face out of my pumpkin.
this year mine is the only one to survive the week.

I learned this year that bears love pumpkins. We waited till today to carve them and will probably put them out tonight or tomorrow night. I'd be surprised if they last more than 2 nights.

Just got back from picking my buddy up from the police station. Dumb bastard got himself another dui. Other than that excitement I just sat around watching shitty movies with the wife. No kids, and no one is walking down a 1/4 mile gravel driveway out in BFE, so no trick or treating here

We don't get any trick or treaters at our house. It is our anniversary so we went on a ghost tour in Portland. Our tradition has been to go on a ghost tour halloween for our anniversary. It wasn't as crazy as I expected in Portland.

My 2 oldest (9 and 4) went with me hunting. They got to see dear ol dad tag his biggest buck yet. They were pumped which put my excitement level to max. So, good Halloween for us. Poor youngest was sick so momma stayed back with him.

Grilled some steaks, had a cigar and a few glasses of whiskey with friends and watched a movie outside. Pretty much what we normally do on a weekend. Had a nice night.

Wtf is going on in this Pic?

He disconnected everything from his old electrical panel. And hopefully he’s replacing it with something that’s less of a fire hazard

Looking at it again, that does not appear to be one of the recalled challenger panels

It was good. Got an invite from my brother this am to a party at his place so I took the new girlfriend to meet my entire family and it went great.

Stopped at her parents on the way there and at her sister's place on the way back so I got to meet a lot of the family and everything went fantastic which blew her away, she figured they'd hate me. Meh, I'm a pretty likeable guy so I wasn't worried at all. :grinpimp:

I've given out full sized candy since I moved in 20 years ago...had one family tonight...three little ones.

We had a great one. Lots of kids came by (maybe 50 or 60), and people really had seemed to go out of their way on costumes. I was impressed, since half the town is still out of power from our ice storm. I was really happy we went to the same level of effort of dragging the chiminea out onto the drive and having a decent bonfire in it. We always end up meeting some neighbors, and every once in a while we shove cardboard into it so kids can watch it spit fire out the top. I swear we’re very careful with kids costumes getting very close, but it’s always fun. As usual, though, we didn’t have very many adults that would take any beer.

We had 9 kids stop by. Handed out fullsize bars. We had no idea how many to expect, first Halloween in this house in a rural subdivision. We are surrounded by folks with adult kids our age so I didn't expect much.

5 of the 9 showed up in a small enclosed trailer pulled by a sxs. Pretty sweet setup, was rocking Halloween tunes with a fog machine and lights / lasers inside. He had taken the back doors off and put benches along the walls for the kids to sit on with a propane heater bolted down in the middle to keep them warm.

All of that is super fucking illegal nowadays. Good for him! Fuck I wish we had less laws instead of more laws. I ride my kids around in a leaf filled trailer behind an atv, or in the snow-filled bucket of my skid-steer.

Even had a cruiser pass me while I had a 4x7 platform on the skid steer forks, taking my new bbq from the warehouse to my home two blocks away. Both kids were standing on the platform. My boy was holding the bbq (which was also ratchet strapped) and my daughter had a pole and was pretending to pole-paddle a boat down a river.

Cruiser didn't stop, I think they might even have waved.

We did the whole neighbourhood. Kids EVERYWHERE. Parents with beer, fireworks, one cop car cruising around chasing teenagers blowing shit off. Little guy got a TON of candy. One house was giving out single minis to kids from out of the hood, but for locals like us....he gave a FULL BOX OF MINIS. 100 PIECES!
The houses seemed like 1/3 splits between normal, and some kind of table, or distance set up, or not taking part at all.

All of the small towns around us were busy. Plenty of kids out and houses participating. From what I’ve heard the cities around us didn’t have much activity and whole neighborhoods with their lights off. Mostly due to city management encouraging residents not to participate. That makes me wonder if people from the cities were leaking out into the smaller towns. That’s what happened this summer when the cities closed their pools, the small town pools were getting overrun.

This morning my Snapchat was full of videos of people at parties and bars last night. The bars were packed.

We don’t have kids that are trick or treat age and are out of the party scene so we went out for an early supper and then relaxed at home.

uneventful, have lived here 20 years and have had two trick or treaters...love living in the sticks :)

Not bad. Carved some pumpkins, my son went trick or treating, we did a corn maze and hay ride. Are too much candy.

100 percent normal here. 4 year old was a pirate and my 2 year old was mickey mouse. Went to the trunk or treat at the local bashes. Police and fire were handing out free hot dogs and hot chocolate.no masks no bullshit. Kids made out with a shit ton of candy then hit up some neighborhoods. Weather was awesome .last year my older one lasted about 10 mins because it was so cold. Best part of the night was watching my 4 year old eat a sour warhead for the first time. His face was priceless.

Are you in my neighborhood?

Came home from clearing a buddies downed limbs, and the neighborhood was PACKED. One truck pulling a 20' trailer like a hayride, multiple SxS's and golf carts, parties everywhere. Pretty stoked about how well that turned out.

As usual, I didn't participate. But, one kid gave me a piece of candy when I told them I didn't have any. :smokin:

I learned I have about 5 neighbors with man caves in their garages complete with big screens, fancy recliners, bars with beer and wine fridges, various game tables and finished floors.

I thought we would be the only ones walking around drinking and was pleasantly surprised we weren't. Felt like a bar crawl from back in college.

Also the MILFs had no qualms about flirting with me in front of my wife and daughter. Wife was proud, daughter was grossed out. Lol

That sucks!!!!!!!

All the trunk or treats closed down and everyone went old school door to door. It was actually kind of nice to go back in time some.
