How Did You Know You're Getting Older?

I MISS you and your wife. Your kids are just beautiful.
Having beautiful kids requires lots of practice. People don’t get that joke right away
Them: your kids are soo cute
Me: thanks, lots of practice
Them: smiling and processing what I said while trying to not act awkward 😂

This is the one who find loopholes isn’t it?

I realized I was old when I met people who learned about September 11 in history class, and watched it on tv in elementary school.
I realized I was old when I was closer to 50 than 20.
I realized I was old when I saw kids wearing shorts for concerts ten years before I was born and thought they looked stupid.
I realized I was old when I got upset the way things were 20 years ago, back in my day, were not how things were today.
I realized I was old when I saw high school kids wanting trucks that were new when I was their age.
I realized I was old when I had phone numbers I haven’t used in over two decades memorized.
I watched the Lunar Landing when in grade school on a black and white tv.

When I quote "We're on a mission from god" and the 25 year old shop bitch says " yeah, I know that movie". "That's woorgooblesomefuck"

My three coworkers (relatively young in/around our 50's)... Ummm..No...Dumbass.

Someone mentioned it, I'm older now than when my Mother passed. Cancer is a motherfucker though. (Pun half intended).

Pain.

I'll sleep all day Saturday, and usually do.

I did too but mostly because it wasn’t recorded in color 20+ years earlier. :flipoff2:

Edit: maybe not 20 but still not in color.

When one has to wear diapers/depends and/or needs a bedpan to shit. :flipoff2:

~ I've noticed recently that when I go 3 stories & up (tree trimming or the roof), funny feeling in chest/midsection. Can't let it slow me down.

A couple of weeks ago, one of my coworkers had never heard of Fast Times at Ridgemont High
I remember seeing Class of 1984 in the cinema. Fast Times was on cable, I do remember the pizza delivery to class- 😴

My eyes don't fucking adjust when I walk from light to a dark room:homer:.
I figured you were relatively young? What, like actually in your 30's... Please reply all.

A lot of my buddy's complain about how light fucks them up at our age (oncoming headlights be dammed) I can attest.

My eyesight is fucked in general though, I just wing it.

I'm 33.

Knowing statistically I'll be dead in 15 years.

Working EMS and dealing with people younger than me that are dying.

Brad is 40...wtf.

The biggest is loss of motivation to do things I enjoy. Lots of times it's easier to just take a nap.

I bailed on a bass tournament today...too far, too windy and a.m. rain. I used to drag my kayak the 1/2 mile up the trail in 15 minutes or less. Now it's 20-25 sucking wind the entire time and praying for no cardiac issues.

I just noticed I'm more careful using ladders to get on/off my roof. That may be the fact that I'm near its weight limit though. :homer:

....the ladder, not the roof. heh
