That sounds like a decent deal for a cool plane. My brother has a 108-3 with the O-470. I'll let him know about it in case he knows of anyone interested.

My instructor didn't even tell me:laughing:! It was a 80* and humid August morning and the c-150 wouldn't lift off so we aborted the takeoff, taxied back to the FBO, my instructor opened the door, and told me "if it takes off, do 3 full stop landings" then got out and shut the door:laughing:

Ha, I was on one of those rides. A couple of big ol boys, well over 250 lbs without gear, really wanting that sweet chopper ride instead of waiting on the slow crew boat, told the pilot, "200 lbs and 205 lbs". He hopped it to the edge of the deck and sort of fell off toward the water. He finally got enough lift and struggled all the way back to Houma. They all got off and I continued on to Houston. That thing jumped straight up into the air like he had jet assist and off we went.

You didn't happen to run into a young hotshot pilot from some Eastern European County who legally changed his name to James Bond when he got here did you?
250 is big?

Couple of my buddies maybe weighed that little in middle school.
