I keep them around because it seems like every other property I buy has one in it. So it’s cheap insurance for 6-12 months till I get around to swapping panels and replacing everything.

Pretty much all those considerations only exist because the person doing the work is licensed and therefore at the mercy of the state for his livelihood.
