High Altitude Guys I Need Recommendations Not Doing Well

Same here. I was 16 and all "I feel weird, oh well" and we ski all day the first day. Thought the grownups were all being dramatic. 16 year old males have a special gland in their bodies that produces 1500mg of viagra a day, so that probably helped.
i ski'd breck and vail, and beavercreek in college. we drank all night, skiied all day. The only time i noticed it was hiking to the highest point to drop in. Like literally take the lift, and strap skis in a pack and hike to the peak. :grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp:

The low 80 O2

Probably sleep apnea that does not help the O2 level either.

I definitely don’t have sleep apnea. Wife said it barely happens and only when I’m on my back.

I’m in decent shape, more so than it would appear in this thread. :flipoff2: I’m about 192lbs. at 5’10” and lift weights and walk 10,000-18,000 steps every day back home.

I think spending a week in the desert and getting acclimated to that, then coming here was just a terrible idea.

Tiger Road.

Thats the North Fork, Middle Fork South Fork trail system that goes up to the Wise Mountain Inn, Radical Hill, Red Cone etc isn't it? It's been years since I've been up there. Is all that stuff still open? May take the taco there this summer...
Yep. Sounds like it needs to dry more though now.

Luckily we’re leaving tomorrow morning. I don’t like Breckenridge…I don’t like any of these ski towns. Just not my cup of tea. I didn’t know what this place was when I booked.

Next time I’ll be looking for the simpler areas with less yuppies.
I blame the Timeshare companies in Breckenridge. And like was said, good luck. I used to have a DIE YUPPIE SCUM sign in the back window back in the 80s. It's lightyears worse now.

It’s gotten worse since my first time out here in 2020. We’ve been around this state quite a bit now, driving through many routes and stopping in a lot of towns.

Westcliffe is slowly dying. Soon the locals won’t be able to afford to live there and I assume that’s how it starts.

There’s 34.2 acres for sale on Tiger Rd. They want $4 million for vacant land. Why? Because .5 acre lots are selling for $200,000 here. Insanity.

It’s not the money that annoys me, it’s the Yuppie way of destroying everything they touch.

Theres a sticker I need to get that says "Don't Breckenridge my Fairplay". I'm already getting flak from the town for my stuff. AHoles.

1 acre in the highlands = $2 million. There's 7 acres all the way at the back of Tiger with no view for $2 million as well. I bought 2 acres on Tiger in 2013 for $150k.

its nosing over, i was checking out a loan on a property i was interested in. after talking with the loan officer, i going to wait. the last 6 months sales have really dried up.

I first went to CO in '02. Lived in CO from '07 to '21. Just couldn't take it anymore between skyrocketing cost of living and skyrocketing elitist liberal snootiness. It turned into Eastern California FAST.

Good Fucking Luck :lmao::mad3:
We do a week in simpler Lake City every summer. The lack of cell service, charging stations and boutique shops keeps the "yuppies" out. On the alpine loop for easy wheeling / scenic driving, close enough to a couple of 14ers for hiking, and can quickly get on fish with a fly rod. Granted, everyone there is from Texas- which can be a good or bad thing.
