Anyone have an alternator bracket? I'm running an 1.6 8v alternator on a 1.3 so I think they're the same?

Not sure wtf is going on with it as it broke the bolts, then I thought I fixed it and now it looks like this :homer:

Check your bottom mount. Something looks wonky. Post a pic. The brackets are different and I believe the 1.6l alternator is bigger.

I know, that's why I'm looking for a new one :flipoff2:

It bolted right on, they looked very similar.

Honestly, I can't remember if the lower bracket is a 1.6 or 1.3 now that I think about it.

Are you sure the alternator isn’t hitting something and you bolted it on crooked? I doubt you need a new bottom mount.

A pic would help. :flipoff2:

I posted a Pic, not sure what else I can really show.

The bottom is the issue, the holes are fucked, and the welded nut is gone.

I don't need help figuring this out, just a new mount if someone has one laying around :flipoff2:

Actually this Pic shows what I think is going on

Yours looks to have the same issue as mine, weld nut broke off leaving a big square hole.

I don’t think there’s a weld nut at that square hole. I think that’s why the front hole is threaded and there’s a special bolt with a square shoulder that goes into the other hole. Like it uses two bolts on the bottom of the alt.

Like this pic, boot looks like it has a square shoulder:

YotaAtieToo my spare alternator has this little dude attached to it

And the one on my samurai looks to be consistent

Maybe you’re just missing the bolt with the square shoulder?

I actually have one laying around I no longer need.

If you still need it in 2.5 weeks I’ll mail it out.

YotaAtieToo it’s just shy of 3/8” square. Like 9.3mm

Awesome, thank you, hoping a 5/16 carriage bolt will work then.

OK, thank you, hopefully I can fix it soon. Driving it every day and surprised it hasn't thrown the belt

A couple weeks ago I took a few pics of all the parts I no longer need for these Zuks. Let me know if anything interests anyone here. Also have a 16V head, top and bottow intake, with throttle body and TPS in the pile.

How'd you end up with 4 Sami intermediate shafts?

Those are semi hard to find when you need one. I'd imagine someone here will want them.

Bought a parts hoard off a local for dirt cheap. I told him I was flipping it all, I need buggy money.
