'84 Bronco II
El Chingón
The "Punisher" Bronco II I wanted to put in my first post, but already hit the 10 picture cap.
These are the ones that I thought of right away for this.Rattle_snake's '72 build in case you've been living under a rock
Harry Wagner's '77 truck that was previously mentioned in post #2
Dave Chapelle's "Mom's Spaghetti" build
2002 "Ultimate" Superduty was one of my favorite builds even if it was a bit of a turd
Duty Calls from the old board had a cool 2000 F350 until he swapped all the parts over to an Excursion.
There was also a really cool '03 Superduty build from Alaska I have never been able to find again. It was probably the cleanest and most functional Ag tire build I have ever seen. I feel like there was a build thread on it on Pirate and it was on the cover or a feature article in Petersen's or Fourwheeler about 10-15 years ago. I really wish I could find it again

This one? Fordcummins posted on the P site. correction not a cover of Petersons truck but still cool.
EDIT: If I remember correctly, he rolled the truck and totalled it before building it up. I remember it had some Iroks and chrome mall crawler wheels on it and he went off a gravel road or something when he wrecked it.
Tada!
The wrecked on bro-rims jogged my memory. I thought there was a build or at least pictures over on P site but no dice.

Plenty of folks buy Toyotas and Jeeps and spend a whole lot of time and money transplanting bigger engines and 1-ton axles into their downsized vehicles. Kyle Vwww.motortrend.com
I also like old school reg cab/long bed trucks for some reason. I guess that is what you got if you wanted heavy duty drivetrain from the factory. My favorite trucks are bump sides and dent sides (I'd give the edge to a bump side) in a regular cab long bed, the way god intended

You and I have that opinion in common. Ford trucks peaked aesthetically with the bumpside. I'm personally partial to the 70-72 style grilles.
Here's the highboy my dad and I swapped to a bumpside.

I almost built a superduty but couldn't find a decent truck to start and knew it wouldn't be worth much after I put parts in it (compared to a bump).
And thanks, I'm enjoying the hell out of my old Ford.

I gotta give you credit on this one, I hate Explorer's but you've done a great job with it and I dig the history.I like my 1994 Explorer, had it since it was six months old. Been modifying it since about a year after that.
Circa 1996
Circa 2000
2015 or so
Current
1994 XLT Explorer, 90% of the modifications done myself (and done over again and again over the years).
8.8 Rear with Yukon C-clip eliminator kit, Detroit locker, 5:13 gears, custom leaf springs.
HP D44 Front narrowed to early Bronco width, Eaton Elocker, 14" Radflo coil overs, Duff extended radius arms, BC Broncos steering and track bar, RedHead steering box, 2006 Liberty power steering conversion.
Maxxis 35x12.5x15" tires on 15x8.5 wheels.
Stock 4.0 engine, GM 700R4 trans, 3.8 Atlas II.
Custom center console and cage, 1100 watt stereo with Kicker separates, custom storage in cargo area.
Custom plate bumpers, sliders, roof rack and skid plates.
I wanted a rig that would do everything good, and crawl better. Ended up with a rig that will bomb down a fire road as fast as you want, cruises down the highway at 65 MPH, is great for remote camping trips or long-distance off-road excursions, and crawls very well.
Future main mods are a NWF iBox, and I want to swap in a GM L32 3.8 supercharged V6. It will bolt up to my 60* bellhousing 700R4 and I like GM engines for reliability and aftermarket support.
Thanks. Don't really get what there is to hate about the 1st Generation Explorers, but to each their own. To me, it's just the right size for a multi-purpose off road vehicle.I gotta give you credit on this one, I hate Explorer's but you've done a great job with it and I dig the history.
Hole digging rig:
Even older and even cooler
Nice car!Not a 4x4 or even a truck, but one of my favorite Fords of all time, the Terminator
This one is mine. 2.8 pulley for 15 psi, nitrous, 315 drag radials and enough drivetrain, chassis and suspension mods to put 600hp/700ftlb to the pavement.
Who was the guy building the go fast truck that moved out to the desert? I don’t remember if it was here or the old place.
