Got some overtime this week. Mrs had a rough last couple of hours “at work”, she was cursing up a storm in the office :laughing:
Chico kid is coming down for tacos and margaritas, margaritas are already flowing :blender:

Our front gate closed on me coming home, scratched the side of the truck. It’s been a while since I’ve had to use any kind of product to fix scratches. What magic elixir is out there?
 
Was gonna check in earlier but got sidetracked. I think I have a mild cold, just enough to be annoying. Worked a half day and then went shopping with my wife this afternoon. Went to the flooring store to pick out some new engineered wood flooring, then stopped and put a deposit on the couch she's been looking at.

Got home, sat down and fell asleep. Now just winding down the night.

When I had talked to my nephew he gave me two names and sure enough it was one of them. I am going through picking up stuff putting it back in the Jeepster that he had already started parting out, and in the back of his shed was my 413 short block!

My dodge they were already setting up to be a wood hauler (Joke was on them when it hits opperating temp the oil pressure goes to zero). Anyway one of the realtives is upset because his woodrack is leaving on the back of my truck on the gooseneck, then these other two clowns show up, when did hispanic males become such whiners? "Why are you always picking on me...."
Anyway the reason the officer had even been out there is the perp had stolen and dismantled the town computerised sign board, he was supposed to be going to rehab and had quit going. According to the investagator, this time he has crossed the line and should be going away for a long time.

Talking to my neighbors they said there was multiple vehicles involved so this guy is taking the fall for the rest of the crack heads. I asked if you heard all this why didn't you call me, we thought you were out of town! DUH you don't think I could call friends to show up?

There is a gate up for as muchhelp as it can be.

On a brighter note my eldest niece's eldest daughter interviewed for "The National Honor Sociaty" this morning I guess it's a pretty big deal the way everone was carrying on

Truth. Had inguinal repair few years ago. The morning after surgery day, I sneezed in the bathroom. I had the forethought to slap my hand over the incision area.

Still thought I had died when my eyes quit watering :laughing:. Fuck me that hurt.

Wife's on girls trip to Navarre Fla.

Started feeling real shitty Tuesday evening. Called out for three days. Fever hit 105 for two days.

Apparently I missed a shit show of a week in LTL. Our terminal is falling apart. Our manager is out, the fill ins are clueless, and its been a clusterfuck on many fronts for months.

I'm ready to pop smoke honestly. But with things iffy economy wise, guess I should suck it up for a bit. :homer:

I took a longish break myself earlier this summer.

Back with the same outfit, in the very same truck:laughing:, and a way better dispatcher.
Running as hard as he can keep me busy.
With this economy, grab what you can - while you can...

In bumfuck MS tonight, tomorrow too likely - have an expedited load scheduled for pick up on Sunday in AR.
Headed to MN (going to be a busy boy with that one)...

Got 3 projects wrapped up and sent out the door for this week. I’ll take 2 days off next week to fuck off for a while. Boss got the call that the R8 is sold and his mclaren was ready to be picked up.

We bombed out of the office and drove to DC on Friday during rush hour, I decided to hang out and grab dinner with a family member and diagnose his used subuwu. lol.

Just landed and im calling it a night. I need a bloody raise… bonus pic of an off-road lambo

Pretty good week. Spent my last day ever at my childhood home and we signed the sale papers yesterday. A chapter of my life closed.
Spent a couple evening at the Woodward Dream Cruise. One night with my buddy’s new C8 at a Corvette gathering. Always tons of great car watching.
Went furniture shopping with the wife. (Furniture designer coming tomorrow). Then took my granddaughter and her boyfriend to dinner as she is off to college next week. Tomorrow is a GLFWDA quarterly meeting and trail ride at the local orv park.

It was cool enough today that we decided to go to the fall fair. spent time lookin' at all the 4H stuff and then hit the food trucks. We filled up on tacos, tamales, and some other snacky stuff. The highlight for me was the mini donuts. I ended up eating way too many and ate myself pretty much sick.

Tonight it's netflix and fend for yourself Friday. I got some brats, perogies and sauerkraut i'll finish up sometime before bed.

Had the same inguinal done. Doc said I should be mostly g2g in a couple weeks. But to really take easy the first couple days.

That jive with your experience?

Got a huge amount of work done this week, tight deadlines and long days = I'm tired as fuck.
Not a lot planned for the weekend other than watch the airshow that's going on Sat/Sun. The Blue Angels, an F-22 Demo Team and some WW 2 warbirds will be buzzing around. The best part of it is that I'm only about 3 miles from the COS airport so I can see a lot of the flying without having to leave my house/yard.:smokin:
 
In, had to talk in front of about 400 people yesterday, and have some very in depth conversations with important people about work related stuff.

I may need to take a break from drinking, because the night before I drank wine(don't drink wine often) and was hungover as fuck. Had people compliment me on my talk and dealt with all the big wigs flawlessly.

Or they are all just idiots, and have a bunch of letters after their names...

Drinking some beer with the wife. Work tomorrow.
