ok old site reply...
Yes, run new wire to the pos. Side dash switch,to motor, from the dash switch.
or just rewire the whole thing from battery thru switch to motor

Whatever you do don't put a fuse inline. They can fail, leaving the window inoperative.

Yes but make sure you use a fuse and big enough wiring and switch so you don't melt it down. If it was mine I would see if there is a ten gauge hot wire back there and use a relay to switch it to your window motor.

You must have 1 of these in any circuit!
fuseable link
fuse
circuit breaker
Each needs to be rated at the amperage of the device it protects.
or you could just let er burn down...

i think that circuit is polarity reversing or something like that. you need do some reading on fullsize bronco and the other sites

It's been half a decade but I remember there being an upgrade with a common off the shelf window motor that had more windings or better gearing or something for the bronco glass. From memory there is a thermal breaker and some limit switches in the tailgate. Supposedly you can get a lot of function back with some cleaning.

Your definitely not the first person to have problems with bronco tailgate glass. If you really are a newb at electricity why not just follow one of the bajjilionty write ups on fixing one instead of trying to reinvent the damn thing
