Pretty wild how the wind splits directions at Santa Barbara, then that air circles around and joins up with the winds feeding the cyclone.
I think Friday night is the big dump for CA foothills. If I were you I'd be checking the local forecasts for your path before deciding on that.Shit.

My original plan was to leave Saturday from Disco to ID, but it looks like its gunna dump snow over the Sierras BAD on that day...
I may leave after work Friday afternoon and just hope it rains up at Donner. But then I have to worry about going thru northern NV and eastern Oregon at like 1 am.
