Elon Musk Ditches 'Entitled' California

This makes me feel like I'm 10yo, reading Asimov for the first time. Just for a minute, that we're not the USSR v2.0 heading for terrain at full throttle.

I figure he personally is moving to TX as there is no state income tax. Since Tesla is at an all time high he may be planning to offload some of this stock in the next few years. Would ave him a few billion by having residency in TX.

It’s a shame it blew up on landing, but yeah, this shit is exciting s as hell.

Who was the one billionaire that moved out of NJ and caused them to call a special session to address the budget shortfall from his taxes?

Lets just hope he doesn't contribute to the Californification of TX. He and Joe Rogan can hang in Austin with the weird folks.

David Tepper, he moved to Florida.

It took a while for the falcon stages to work the kinks out, now it’s almost routine. Sometimes you have to blow up a several million dollar space ship to bring the excitement back. Nobody talks about the landings anymore, they still pay attention to the failures.

And this is why I’m not even considering Texas as a possibility to relocate to. Too many Kommiefornians moving there and destroying it already. AZ is also on its way down. Montana is looking better and better by the day.

Dear Texas,

Please welcome all the Californians that will be moving with the company.

Signed,

Laughing in AZ.

Got bad news for ya Mr. Woods but Arizona turned blue on November 3rd.

Yeah but did you know he used to pick blue M&Ms out of Ozzy's stool when he worked the merch booth for Jane's Addiction when they opened up for van morrison at that one place where concerts happen??!?

You obviously havnt lived in MT, ID, SD, CO, UT, WA, AZ, NM, KS, and yes, Cali also as I have. MT has been getting corrupted by commiefornians also.

My research so far says it’s mostly the cities that are liberal in Montana. Bozeman, Kalispell, and I think Billings were all mentioned as being lib havens. I’m not planning on living in the city. Part of the appeal to Montana for me apart from still being a purple state leaning more red is getting back to the rural lifestyle I grew up with and raising my kids in that type of environment. I want some acreage and some space between us and the neighbors. I’m quite fine to drive 30 to 43 minutes in to town for work and shopping. My biggest challenge is convincing the wife, she’s a moderate liberal and more to the point doesn’t want to bail on CA because pretty much all her family is here nearby. Personally I can’t take this mess of a state much longer though. Currently planning a 2 week or so RV trip to Montana when my daughter is out of school for the summer. Hoping the wife falls in love with the scenery and such while we are there and maybe we check out some houses. Perfect world we find one we love and out an offer in, come back to San Diego and pack up and sell our house here before summers end.

best part is we can afford way more house in MT. Our place here is worth about 350k more than we still owe on the mortgage so we can drop a 250k or so down on the property in Montana and still have some cash for the move and upgrades and such.

A scapegoat?
Does CA have the highest tax rate? No that would be NY.
Does CA have the craziest gun laws or is it NY, hard to keep up here. It's CA
Does CA have the strictest Covid restrictions? Again NY.
Does CA have the craziest smog laws? CA, but if you were in SoCal in the 1970's you'd know why, and there's been lots of good automotive advancements from that.
Does CA have the largest illegal population? CA as more, but TX is close and has a higher percentage of it's population.
Does CA have the largest homeless problem? CA It's the weather stupid.
Does CA have the Governor that stays on TV demanding tighter and tighter restrictions while ignoring them on video? There's a bunch of those, Cuomo comes to mind.
Did CA lead the way in setting up sanctuary cities, then state? Yeah they own that one, Berkley in 1971.
Is it CA Mayors that have sent out warnings to felons that ICE was planning something? Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco

I'm sure I must have it wrong. It is definitely Kentucky I was thinking about.

Close.

I shoot the finger to everyone from CA who moves to TX. I dont care if you think you're conservative. Fuck you.

CA people who live in CA, you're still cool. Fight the good fight.

You have to see the size of the facility Musk is building outside Austin. It's right off 130 (speed limit 80), near the airport, and also near the F1 racetrack. This building is H - U - G - E. Does not look like corporate offices. More like a factory that could build Ringworld.
