What's new

Dude visited by homeland security for buying fuel filters

I think the guy is full of shit and there’s more to this than what he says in the video.

I thought it was a little fishy when he said he watched some youtube videos and said filter suppressors dont work. That a giant crock of shit. they work well considering they are meant to filter fluids.

Imagine how happy he was that the cops showed up after he spent $500 on fuel filters.

"Oh c'mon honey if I buy a bunch the cops will show up and I can make a video out of it!"

De-fund the cops!

DHS was just something that could have been addressed by EOs on sharing information about terrorists, but politicians had to do Something Big in the aftermath of 9/11. It could be broken up into its constituent parts.

NSA is actually essential. I've never seen any credible proof they are doing anything nefarious. I wish they spent less time on muslims and more time on China, but fed agencies tend to move slow. I'd like to see NSA do something about Chinese influence in social media, they are the big-bucket gang to do stuff like that.

Dude bought some questionable items from a site that the feds monitor and he hot paid a visit. The title of his video is very clickbait.

I would not say that the site is "monitored", but rather that the site "sells out" it's customers to the feds.
We could run a test. Have each of us order a bunch of filters from different sites and see who gets a visit and who does not.

Vacuuming up as much metadata they can on American citizens for later analysis isn't nefarious at all. :shaking:

I agree the NSA isn't the worst but their massive data collection operations facilitate a lot of the bad shit that other agencies do.

Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency should both be disbanded.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be the name of a convenience store, not a gov't agency.

(I wear that t-shirt often)

You wont. Those just tell the traffic lights when there are vehicles in lanes, and therefore trigger the timers. I used to work in street light cabinets.

When an object gets into the specific frames (lanes in this case) it initiates a timer to start whatever sequence that light is on.

That's not 100% true. In most cities they also have active cameras that the police can use to track specific vehicles if necessary. I know this is 100% true, because I personally know someone that was tracked through multiple intersections in Dubuque via stoplight cameras after he sideswiped a car in a casino parking lot and took off. And also because I've bid new stoplight projects and all of them have traffic cameras included.

Snowden was saying that they can see everything you type of a phone or computer and don't post/send it even. He said it was like watching people think. So they can see me typing this, going back and correcting my typo's or rewording sentences. Crazy how much they are logging on each of us. It doesn't bother me much but its certainly wrong.

What the fuck did that guy put oil filters under the frame, all exposed?

He installed a semi-tractor fuel filter base on the frame rail. Diesel pickup truck owners like to pretend they have 'Big Rigs'. They also like to buy Alcoa rims and other accoutrements that the 'Big Rigs' use because hey, it's another spending hobby.

Honestly, on some trucks it actually looks pretty decent as long as they don't have the AIDs infested butt plug lugs on them.

The rims? Oh yeah, they look nice.

Well, the filter base makes it convenient to change your fuel filters (not that you'll ever change them again haha), and provides big-rig levels of protection for your tiny, tiny little pickup truck diesel. But the setup is for vehicles that we ran 3,000 miles a week at 6 mpg. I mean.... it's a LOT of filter, you could basically install that filter setup on a Duramax and never change your filters again. :lmao:

Also people want to spend that coin on a Caterpillar filter set, as the guy showed. We used Baldwin. I'm sure the Cat stuff is top-notch but who cares, the branding price is ridiculous.

I run Baldwin and Donaldson "Big Rig" filters on my tiny, tiny little pickup truck 6.7 diesel. They are mounted above the TC skid plate (hidden and protected), the DIY kit cost me less than $200. Screw on filters are cheap and easy to change whereas the factory filter is $100 , a pain in the ass and needs to be changed 2x a year.

Donaldson semi mufflers are cheap and great too, this 48" for 5" exhaust was only $90 locally. Quiet as a new diesel with all the smog shit clogging the exhaust.

Really, that's how bad diesels have gotten now? $200/yr in fuel filters and two maintenance contacts? Is that in addition to the urea and particle filters and all the other stuff I've heard about the last few years?

Why are people still buying them?

Anybody with a keylogger can do this. That is a piece of software that does it, and those are well taken care of by even basic Microsoft security.

Then someone can write a custom keylogger, but this is not useful over many computers otherwise it gets swept up in normal security scans.

Then there is the problem of getting the data the keylogger logged, to someone else.

If that's over the internet, you have to somehow get it out of the windows firewall to an address that doesn't trip any type of normal alarm.

You can also downlload keylogged data, but that requires physical access to the computer.

The Holey Grail is a hardware keylogger, but again that requires some type of Illuminati style conspiracy for a population. That would require collaboration between ISPs, backbone providers, hardware manufacturers, Microsoft and other OS producers, security companies... it's quite a proposition, quite a bit harder than faking the Moon Landings or seeding us with Chemtrails.

But, if you want to target a specific individual, then yes, it is possible to keylog someone's computer, get the data via physical access, then they can see every keystroke you make.

That is James Bond level shit that would only be done (and has been done) on an Intelligence target, not the population of the United States.

Thats just fuel filters for a year, more than likely. Our 6.7 cummins work truck is the same way.

We will likely be switching to the Ford 7.3 gassers for service trucks after the most recent diesels. Can't get away from the semis though. Our new freightliners cost $1500 for filters for 5 trucks. Our old volvos were maybe 1/3 of that.

With screw on bases I only spend $25/yr for fuel filters:grinpimp:

In the video he says he bought some sights for a “super soaker” as well. Guessing that’s what grabbed the attention?

Did he buy an adapter? He said he bought some sights.

Where are you guys getting this?

5:04. "He was going on to say that I ordered a bunch of suppressors for a...uh, I don't know how to say this without the youtube video going down, but, we'll just say a SuperSoaker"
