Dogs of Irate 4x4

Meet our newest addition, Finnegan. English Springer Spaniel. This is during a rare quiet time. He's made himself right at home.
Pretty much already figured out the dog door and the steps up from it to the backyard.

Well, my wife exercised her female prerogative and changed her mind. His name has been changed to Jasper.

Really? In my house I'm #3. The Germans go outside first. Before I go inside. They get fed before I eat. I got'em, my resonsibility. 3 is more than I'm capable of taking care of or I would get another one. Good for you two giving 6 a good home.

Okay. I read it as the number of dogs.

Yup, 6 dogs in the house. It's a 3 ring circus.
We had friends visiting last year that were horrified at the 5 dogs and 1 cat in the house. Horrified because mornings are busy af with getting them in/out and fed.
Boyfriends brother and his wife took the 14yr old PIA JRT to live with them. He was not able to blend with a pack of dogs. He marked everyfucking thing constantly, even though I chopped his balls off at 12yrs old the habit was set.

He also constantly attacked the malamute mix. So many bloody bite marks on that idiot little white dog. They stayed here and thought it would be better for all if they took the dog to live with them. He has a HUGE tumor on his leg they got a specialist to look at. :( The worst of the worst cancers so that dog has been given the best of the best life!! He has spa treatments and goes to the bars in Virginia City on the regular lol.

Now I'm at four puppies!! JRT's will be 3 in a couple of weeks.

Well I can barely type this right now but today Cash is going to go to sleep for the last time. He has been the most loyal dog I have ever had. He would be 14 in April. He has done anything I ever asked of him even and more l my if he didn’t want to do it. I could never asked for a better friend. We have someone coming to the house so its more peaceful for him and us. This is him about a year or 2 ago just hanging out with me while I carve. Pour one out for the Cash dog today. When you see my other dogs please let the know how much I love them and miss them.

Yeah, they lose their appetite, get lethargic, start losing weight, and you can see they're in pain. The vet said we could try chemo, but it was
pretty much a waste and would only make the dog feel worse for a few more months of life. We couldn't do it.
Same options were given to us. We made the same call. I gave him a nice meaty elk bone this morning and he ate that. He barely ate yesterday. We made a 4 hr trek yesterday to his favorite place. His front leg gave out on the way so he couldn’t swim but he got some beach time one last time.
