This was the 44. Seemed to jam up about every 4 rounds. i still want one

Sounds like it might not have been using an actual DE mag, Might have been a "ProMag". You would fortunate to get four rounds through it jam-free using a ProMag. Other than being a cheapskate and trying ProMag mags, I've ever had any issues with mine, even with aluminum Blazers or lowish power handloads.

guy wants to trade me one (legaly) for a transmission.

He says he paid $700 for it which is close to what the trans $. Online $ show $550-600 but his has 2 mags and taxtfees already so thats prob a push on the $.

Im not a big/large pistol guy and i have really liked the glock and hk compact 9mm for fit and firing.

Watched a few review vids and of coarse they always love what ever theyre reviewing. But noise recoil and overall size i think its more than what i want. $ is also more than what i think i would spend as well.

XD…for $700? HELL NO. The XDM with three mags…maybe IF you wanted it.


I have the xdm. It’s nice. The cost of 45 ACP makes target shooting less appealing to lots of people. I like mine. The grip safety doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t notice it is there. It’s a full sized polymer pistol I like better than a Glock. I loved my M&P just because it fit my hand more than the XDM. The sights are nice. The mag release works for me well. It recoils nicely and I like the 45 caliber more than the 9mm because 9mm fans just talk about cheap ammo and capacity. I like making big holes in shit you can see easy.

It ISNT a 1911. some people like that. Some don’t.
