I make a distinction between liberals and progressives.
Liberals I generally don’t agree with but can generally find some common ground or at least have a civil discussion.
Progressives are a bunch of whack a doos that want to destroy the US to remake it into a dystopian collectivist fantasy land that is purged of masculinity in all forms.

How it as a term doesn't serve much purpose unless you're actively trying to distance identity from physical attributes, and how allowing it to become a puritanical alternative was huge in getting it into common use before its purpose was widely known?
