Dakar 2025

Those Fords look pretty nice. They have some good drivers, they might take it this year.

What happened to the Polish? team that had the 16year old that was wining ever stage then the whole team got DQ for vehicles out of spec last year?

Carlos all ready rolled the Raptor.
Loeb face planted a ditch.
Lots of tree trimming this year.
Navigation has been a bitch.
Brock Heager is doing well, he has **** tons of Baja racing in limited buggies, he should do well.
Brabec and Howes are in the mix and taking thier time. Solid plan, it's a long race.

Sara Price is out after having some type of fuel issues during Stage 1 and again on the 48 Hour Stage 2.

Engine failure for Price.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the factory tears it down to find out what caused the failure. It's probably safe to say that all those factory cars get the best parts and people thrown at them with a no expense spared approach and to loose an engine on day two is a throat punch to that entire team.

Given Toby's 4 wheel track record, I'd put him in the hard on equipment category.

Crap one Raptor down. Roll over in the dunes damaged the cage and FIA wouldn't allow them to repair it.

Saw a post from her on Instalandgram that she's still going to be racing the individual Stages (and can even win Stages) but no longer in contention for Class Podiums at the end.

I read that as well. Was quite the G-out and rollover! Can’t seem to find a way to share the video here.

Loeb out after similar cage damage.

Is this the first year they started denying people because of damage? I don't remember seeing them punt someone for repairable damage before.

Yeah FiA seems to be a bunch of pissy people that never build anything in their life this year.

Loeb was the rig with the bad G out into a roll. Sainz was a roll in the dunes.

You need to check yourself lol.

I was discussing with the technical director of the WRC program last year and the guy is very aware of what is safe or not. That's literally his job.

There are nasty crashes that people have survived thanks to FIA designed roll cages.

The cages are built to be as light as possible and once compromised, they aren't safe anymore. They're not way overbuilt like Trophy Trucks etc where you can repair/reuse a chassis after a crash.

If Ford and the driver think they can repair something I say let them. Neither one wants to kill or maim themselves and if they feel comfortable then it should be allowed. I'm well aware of WRC crashes. Baja has gnarly crashes as well in non-TT classes.

Gotdamn the cars are ugly this year, the Raptor is less ugly, but those Mini's look like a grade school project with playdoh.

Why did they get rid of the twins in MC?

Digging the classics as usual.

And no quads? ****ing FIA.
