Why would they do that?
So, if you add a locker, you have to buy new gears?
I've never pulled one apart, but from what I've read, the ring gear is "welded" to the carrier in lieu of bolts.
So there is no locker/gears that I'm aware of (maybe lunchbox?). The current fix appears to be the <2011 front diff that bolts in since it's the same truck, but conventional/old style IFS third.
Im not particularly a fan of most vehicles made post 2010. Shit like that doesnt matter to 95% of the public, but it matters to me.
