Thinking of converting Dodge 3500 dually front to single wheel. Thinking this might help with ball joint/ unit bearing life. Wondering if the dually rotors and calipers will work. Seems like I could just take the extension thing off and run SRW wheels.

The only difference is the dually spacer. You should be able to remove it and just bolt wheels on, at least that is how the last one I messed with was.

Might want to change to fine thread wheel studs to match the rear, if you have course thread ones... Ford does that for some reason.

They are same, just think getting wheels under load/bearings has to be better.

I was going to say the wheel is in the same place, so stress is the same?

There may be some minute difference, but I don't think it's worth running mismatched wheels either.

Look into HD ball joints or ball joint eliminators

Cl of tire is the same on drw as srw.

Now you have mismatched wheels.
This is what keeps me from doing the same. I don't really see any advantage except wide fronts acting like a flotation tire, if you need that type of thing.
