Carnage share thread

As a Commiefornian I don’t believe Dollar General exists. I’ve never seen one in my life. I think they are just a myth like Sasquatch. They were invented by poor people in the south.

Lol I live in Mayberry. A bunch of retirees that walk their dogs all day. If they weren’t all liberal, it would be perfect.

I’ve lived plenty of worse places in California.

The worst part about it is we have big lots and idiot. Newsom made it too easy to build auxiliary housing units in the backyard. Every house that sells get sold to a in an ADU. Which just decreases parking on my street but I could still park my old 34 foot RV in front of my house without much trouble even with the 20 foot trailer. That’s rare in LA.

Yep, even where I'm at, some houses I swear have like 2-3 families living in them and 5-6 cars on the street. I have a lot of vehicles, but I park most of them in my yard and behind the house and only leave 1 or 2 on the street (no driveway)

Nice work. Does anyone still have the pictures of the sheared 14 bolt pinion? I think it was Spidr that posted them.

I had intermittent running and dash issues on a relatively built XJ on 35s leaving Sand Hollow. I'd lose the whole dash once in a while. Sometimes the dash would go nuts and I'd have a partial engine stall.

I'd bought it in Colorado Springs, drove it to Sand Hollow and wheeled it hard for a week, and this was just getting onto the highway leaving.

It got bad enough and frequent enough that I hoped I could find something that I could do something with, and I found an underbody harness just barely rubbing on the front driveshaft and had worn through insulation on a couple wires. Never caught and ripped it out like that. I taped it up and drove 2000 miles home.

I like my near miss a LOT better than that. Nightmare ****.

I have probably shared it here before, and I don't have pictures, but a local volunteer fire department bought a new brush truck about 15 or 20 years ago now, and the upfitter zip tied all the front lighting wiring to the driveshaft. modern-ish truck with a front axle disconnect. First time they put it in 4x4 it went back in for a lot of service.
