Square and torx both suck. You have to have the correct size. Like I really need another tool that I guess the size and have to go back to the tool box. And of course, if you happen to have a complete set except for one size, guess which size you need? With Philips, one size fits all. (Or at least most)

I had a camper with square drive screws. Only thing good about it was it was easy to grind ny own screwdriver for them.

Because a little thing called experience gets in the way. Put a smaller Philips in the bigger screw and it turns. Is it ideal? No, but it works. Put a smaller Robbertson in a bigger square and it doesn’t work. Get it?

Love the robertson slender head trim screws for cabinet work.

Zip screws (Philips) are one of the best screw types ever invented if you're zippin sheetrock.

Just buy a box of the cheap ones.

My house was "remodeled" by a retarded home owner at one time. Every thing he did has 2" stainless steel Phillips head screws in it. Most of them were half stripped out. Some were fully stripped out
