Cabin Build Thread

Spent the last couple of weeks tearing out the junk, cleaning, painting, new floor. Tore out the banquet thing to make some more room.

Built a new smaller table and benches and then some ikea chairs.

Wife is working on some curtains and cushions for the benches.

Looks great.

If you haven’t decided on a spot yet can move this around the property and try them out before building

Also spent a couple weekends at the property clearing out trees to make a spot for the camper. Cut out a bunch or red pines to make a spot and had a bunch of stumps to remove.

Have a nice flat spot for the camper and a nice wide drive up to it.

It will be great to have the camper there WHILE you build your spot... just getting a shower and having a good place to sleep will give you lots more energy while you are busting ass on your place.

The first cabin I ever built, me and my buddy slept on the ground every night until we got the platform done and even then, we were pretty sore and miserable the entire 6 week build (to get dried in) I think I had 3 showers the whole time, the rest was just diving into a funky pond not too far away.

Good thing I was young and didn't care, but having a nice place (like the camper) will be well worth it, good call. You may even want a load of gravel around it just to knock down the dirt. Great job!
