I'm honestly surprised there aren't more 6.2 engines in general being utilized in older trucks. They're good engines and even though they're physically large, should fit in the engine bay of an old truck no problem.

I had to look up the ratios on a 6R80. 4.17, 2.34, 1.57, 1.14, 0.87, and 0.69:1. That's a sweet ass 1st gear and 2nd is almost the 1st ratio on a C6 (2.46:1). That will make the 1.96:1 in the NP205 a hell of a lot more bearable.

Is there a reason you didn't want to use a planetary/chain case? More of a go fast rig or something?
