That is what I’ve said for 20+ years.
It won’t stop them from trying to cross, but it will slow down the flow in more ways than one.

The border is secure or so they say so why don't the Republican powers that be set up shop a couple miles from the border packing up buses and shipping the nonexistent illegals back south? Democrats couldn't protest without admitting the lie.

I see this as malicious compliance.
They waive the environmental laws, the center for biological diversity will sue them. The project will get stopped and the taxpayers will pay their lawyers millions for brining the case in court. Administration will then claim that they tried to comply with Congress but got stopped by the courts and then kick it back.
Win win win for the administration

The main arguments for a physical border wall? Free travel, drugs and white slavery. Overloaded social services and ungoverned/ungovernable masses.

Allow the overloaded welfare state systems to collapse under its own weight and you lose the grip provided upon the populace. Limiting travel further just serves double duty in staunching freedoms. Keeps the welfare state on life support, and reduces mobility of everyone a li'l bit more.

Democrats in 2023 “we need to strengthen our border walls”, we need to strengthen our police forces”, “quid pro quos are not bad if it helps get us ahead”, “if you call out election fraud, you should be jailed”.

Wanna know why the democrats get away with constantly lying, contradicting themselves and being complete hypocrites? All, every last one of their party’s supporters have zero integrity.

Look around this forum. When trump was in office, our resident libs/Dems constantly mocked Trump for the border wall, called him corrupt, quid pro quo catch phrases were thrown around, etc.

Now that it’s completely clear that the biden administration is actually guilty of all trump was accused of, they’re hiding in the corner like cowards.

How that’s relevant, is beyond me, but the mods aren’t the reason those are deleted. You clearly have no clue how many people have bitched and complained to us about you guys fucking up the thread.

We have illegals at work. Was talking to a 20 year old the other day and he told me how his journey went. Cliff notes are he paid the cartel for passage but had to walk in the desert for 2 months. The route is marked out and guarded by cartel members. The cartel is there to ensure that you’ve paid them for passage not to see you safely get there.

So if that’s true, this is probably just the federal government wanting to get their hands in on that racket rather than the cartel.
