Black friday sales have started already. What kind of deals are you seeing?
Currently have a 50” but it keeps going black at random times. Gotta have a new tv. 65” would be fine, of course the wife wants bigger. 🤷
What brands, features, etc should I be looking for?

Need a gun safe, been watching tractor supply. Moving back to NC so I'm buying a new one local.and selling my old two safes. I need 72 capacity minimum

Gonna be looking for a roller toolbox at HF or HD.
Not that HF boxes are gods gift but they're nicer than anything homodepot sells. When I bought my 56" HF box a few years ago I spent the day checking out everyone in towns boxes and US general are stiffer with thicker material.

I'm a Milwaukee whore so when they were released I was 100% going to buy the big Milwaukee box until I fondled my nephew's. It's a basically a shitty 1995 roller bearing craftsman box with a wrinkle paint job and new label. I was sad. From the looks of it whoever it is in China that builds Milwaukee boxes is just a private label manufacturer so dewilt, Milwaukee and a handful of others are all the same cheap shit.

Dude, my buddy just scored a top and bottom for dirt cheap on the old models. Like $450 for both if I believe. Go now if you can live with the older style and any color. They want rid of them. The wild colors are cheaper than red and black.

I wish we had a Harbors Freight here. It'd do well.

Damn, I've also been eyeing a new tool chest because I am overflowing from my assortment of boxes.

I should check if the local Hobo Fart has any of the clearance boxes in stock.

Edit: No 56" clearance boxes in stock anywhere in the PNW. Damn.

Edit again: The website is vague about the 72" boxes, just says "In Store Only" but no stock status. Maybe I should call...

As told to me by the manager of my local store all the series 2 shit that's available is out in the wild, none in warehouses etc so on hand stock is all that's available. Gotta find someone with it in stock which is nearly impossible. I bought a series 3 72" lower and a series 2 56" top since the series 2 was marked down to $320. They drop the prices on all the discontinued stuff every 10 days and I was there on day 11 so it was still marked at $450. :smokin:

I have a few 90's era roller bearing Craftsman boxes and a HF box. The HF is superior in every way. I sold/gave my old Craftsman top and bottom to a friend and plan on getting another HF box to replace it.

That’s kind of what I figured. They show none being available in the three local stores. I’m close enough to two to make it worth the trip. The funky thing is the “available soon” boxes are a $100 cheaper than in stock.

I have a 65" downstairs and there was a 75" at Sam's yesterday on sale for $699 that I just had to grit my teeth and walk past. Yes, want. No, do not need. Keep walking.

If I had somewhere else to use the 65" I would've bought the 75" but the 65" is too big for where my upstairs living room TV is.

Crazy how times have changed.

20yr old me with the good factory job and a pocket full of money, got a 36" Toshiba tube and I'm pretty sure it was $900.

Then in '05, got one of the 1st wide screens, projector 65" was the size of a church van, $3600.

Wait for folks selling off to make their mortgage note, it is coming.

Stacking cash for the past 5 months..
Why are you so convinced of that? You follow markets or get reports or work in real estate or loans or what?

Anyway, back to black friday. I need a phone. Google pixel or Samsung a couple years old model. Where should I be looking? Amazon, Walmart, etc?

Lets see:
Highest credit card balances in recent history
Repos are soaring
Dollhair doesn't go as far as it used to

When regular folk cut more on spending, which is coming, keep an eye out for more layoffs and what not.

As to your phone question, look into unlocked phones. Best Buy, Amazon etc..

Gawd those were the dark ages weren't they? :lmao:

Tiny boxes with plastic slides graduated to slightly wider but still 14" deep roll away boxes to ball bearing roll away and top boxes that were a whopping 36" wide and 18" deep. Makes ya realize why all the old guys had 80% of their tools on peg boards and cupboards. :homer::laughing:

I bought an 85" LG for just over a grand earlier this year. Crazy. :grinpimp:

That 36" tube was (I'm pretty sure) 350-380lbs. And oddly shaped, not easy to get ahold of.

During the time frame that I had it, I moved 5 or 6 times. Had buddies "I'll help you move this weekend but I ain't fucking with that TV".
