better jack than hi lift ??

I used a buddies this summer. For the new chief buggy, I think I am going this route or perhaps jackless. There just isnt room for a hi-lift.

bump this back up. has anyone else tried it out?
I got one, haven't had to use it on the trail yet, but testing it in the garage I can get the tires off the ground by lifting the slider and then I used it to jack up my cage when I was working on stuff

I might be able to even jack up the axle from the housing itself, the jack fits under the body of my 4runner only thing is if the handle can do a full rotation

Had to get creative with a mount but it came out nice, last pic is to show what it looked like back there with the hi lift

He has posted on instagram of cutting off the handle and putting a ratchet on instead. I'm tempted to do that so it doesn't have to spin the full circle.

i was tempted to rig something up like that but didnt want to dick with it at the time, it'd be nice to have the "handle" be a removable ratchet for storage too

smaller package and i dont have to worry about it swinging

just weld a socket to the jack shaft, long handle ratchet will click right in

some of the equipment at work uses trailer jacks to level the base. They have a nut welded on the jack shaft and a crank handle with a socket welded on that goes on that.

If you use an impact it shears the pin that holds the bevel gear to the shaft. So you have to remove the top cover to repair but it's pretty quick & easy. A nail clipped to length and bent to retain it works in a pinch.

I use my cordless 1/2" drill with a socket adapter to run the jacks but you have to be well braced to hold onto the drill under load. And don't run the jack into its end of travel at speed or the pin can shear.

I know this thread is more about the modified tongue jack but anyone have any use with the Mojab jack?

Only reviews I've got were from Andrew's crew at Letz Roll and they're inner circle with Mojab so I'd like some feedback from the normies
